vampiric drain rework..

this skill no longer deals damage on its own but applies a refreshable buff like nightblades buff that siphons on light/heavies but better as it procs from any direct damage...
Now casts a unique buff that lets you steal lifeblood to heal for the percentage of damage you do to an enemy...

the morphs grant either stam or mag drain as an addition to this...

current vamp drain is the worst thing as it used to stun but now it is only used if you want to stun your self, negating any potential healing you could have gotten...
thanks for taking the time to read this post..

You'd need to buff the damage considerably in order to make that healing even worthwhile, and they got rid of the magicka drain morph since it basically made the power free. They didn't like the power inevitably paying for itself without build considerations making it possible.

that would be the case for all mag steal abilities??? what i meant to say is that the mag drain would be the usual buff/debuff youd get from poisons or wherever so you wouldnt be able to stack absurd amounts of sustain.... the main focus is the unique heal from dealing damage which makes becoming a vampire much more appealing as it stacks with lifesteal..

Magicka steal restores a flat value every time you strike the target with the debuff, and right now Vampiric Drain actually does apply minor magicka steal if you inflict a status effect with the ability since it deals magic damage.

The pre-PTS Brain Drain morph restored a considerable amount of missing Magicka a second, but was canned for Drain Vigor instead.

Funny enough Drain Vigor is the better healing ability as it can be boosted by Healing Done and Healing Received instead of just Healing Received which is the case with Exhilarating Drain.
