Can we have the old runestones back?

Remember when the game first launched and potency, essence and aspect runestones each had their own runestone node, and you only got one single runestone from each when you harvested them?

Yeah, that sucked pretty hard. But do you know what was cool about it? Each of the three runestones had a different color to mark which of the three they were.

I miss seeing the different colors of runestone everywhere I go. Can we just have the different colors back and keep the runestone yield how it is now?

And hey, maybe make the protean runestones from surveys rapidly shift color while we're at it to make them truly protean.

It might confuse new players wondering what's the difference between the 3 if they give the exact same items. They may end up thinking the Potency node gives more Potency runes when it doesn't and be baffled why they exist as 3 separate nodes with no change in loot.

I dont have an issue with how they are now but I don't see why we continue to get rekuta denata ,jejota and ta at all.
It is like getting lower quality mats, like when you lower your crafting level you get lower ore, cloth or wood.
Nobody ever uses denata and jejota at all, we cannot even sell them to the merchants at all either so we just got 1000s in our craft bag that never get used.
Better to just get rid of them at high levels and only drop Kuta.
Not that Kuta ever really drops anymore.

It's got to be bad RNG on your end - this week alone I've got a Kuta in daily writ rewards on four of my six mains (3 accounts, both PC megaservers), plus 2 several times in surveys (kind of lost track how many times total but more than just a couple).

About two months back, I went a whole month without any though - so it's just RNG, bad or otherwise.

This is why I was saying to some friends of mine that runestones could have been used in spellcrafting, or for the refining of runes for a 1-hand + rune skill. Then they'd always have a use.

I'd like survey runestones (Protean) to drop mundane runes, please!

But overall, the ESO crafting system is *terrible* all around, and I'd love it if it were revamped. The whole concept of having 7 out of 8 materials 99% useless after lv 50 cp160 is simply dreadful.
