Really big issue.

So there's a really big issue going on with Cyrodiil - Ravenwatch campaign on PC-EU. I don't know about other campaigns or regions, but in here, playing Cyrodiil as an AD is completely unplayable. DC and EP share the same players who constantly faction swap, and they never, and i mean never go against eachother and instead they always team up even when we don't own any keeps.

Today DC owned the map and had emperor, and the reds, while DC had their keeps, instead of trying to take theirs, they came all the way to our home keeps and camped in front of the doors, both DC group and EP one and the same happens when EP owns the map. The moment an AD player would go outside they would jump him, without even attacking eachother. They would just sit there doing nothing. And this isn't something that's recent, this is going on for the past 5-6 months.

I see a good amount of EP and DC players constantly faction swapping between the two, sometimes 5-6 times during a campaign. The gameplay is totally unbalanced and it's killing the PvP ( or what's left of it ) because new players who wanna try PvP on AD just leave because we can't do anything. I know that factions should definetly team up when 1 faction owns the entire map, but they just team up when when AD doesn't even own anything. In the northern part of Cyrodiil its constantly quiet and peaceful, even during prime hours while on the southern part it's constant action.

Maybe make it faction locked or something ZoS? Really, this is legit unplayable and it just kills PvP.

On PC NA Greyhost it's always DC and AD that never fight each other and always focus EP.

I don't know that there is anything that can be done about it though, even as frustrating as it is.

It's actually what makes the system great.

It was the same in Dark Age of Camealot. If one faction becomes to strong the smaller ones can team up and beat it. Even faction numbers make it so that every time one will always become unbeatable.

Funny thing is every faction thinks the other two are always ganging up on them.

Last several times I've been on Greyhost NA over maybe three months we spent more time fighting AD than we did EP. I'm not on every day so I can't say it is a trend or anything but I know for certain DC and AD are not teaming up on AD when I've been in Cyrodiil.

I think the solution is to make alliance change token only effective after the end of the current campaign. This would prevent alliance hopping during the course of a campaign. To counterbalance this, it could be made less expensive.

I haven't been on much the past few weeks but every time I have at prime time in week nights on DC; it's actually been both EP and DC both deep in AD territory. Pissed about something.

Yep. All you see in AD chat is how we are constantly being purpled, why don't DC and EP attack each other, etc. It's a matter of perspective. That said, it's a good strategy to attack whoever your opponent is attacking, as it divides their defenses and makes it easier for both attacking factions. It may make it look like they are working together, but in reality, they aren't.

However, we have had a case recently where the leader of an EP guild has been the DC emperor the past few campaigns. And the OP is correct, there are plenty of instances where two enemies mingle and don't attack each other, and camp the odd faction. Unfortunately, collusion is a part of normal warfare, and shouldn't be seen as shocking when encountered. Also, don't be surprised when you see an enemy fighting one of your alliance mates, and when you jump in to help, they stand back and let you get killed. They were dueling a friend, and will resume fighting as you lay there dead to watch. ;)

Been playing on my AD Templar recently and noticed this too. Blackreach isn't much different.

DC seem to own most of the map at all times.

I made a video about 2 groups (AD & DC) fighting against EP inside a keep, one on the right side and one on the left side. They won the fight and closed the doors the two groups where standing next to eachotcher and doin emotes got it all on tape.

What do you expect, fair play? It's PvP! For Sithis sake... Players taking any advantage they can without getting banned is to be expected.

During the time slot I play it absolutely is true, and has been the case for many months. I can name the players and the guilds making it so.

It only seems that way, if you speak with players from other alliance they always feel teamed up on as well. In truth, alliances go after people who are in the lead in faction-locked.

However there are some normal constants... AD always backdoors, DC is good at defending, EP is good at offense. This is a general consensus from an EP player's standpoint.

When it is not faction-locked (ravenwatch), people will log on alts to roll keeps with their guilds. This is why people play on faction-locked.

There are some exceptions, however (such as AD playing DC characters but only helping for AD objectives), due to pop lock for certain alliances.

Xbox NA, the Blues and Yellows always push EP and ignore each other most of the time. In my years of Cyro PvP most of my time has been spent defending and retaking Kings, Farr, and Arrius. I rarely get to see the rest of the map because of them.

And that's because a 1v1v1 game mode just does not work. We're hardwired to see conflict as just two sides. Us vs Them.
