Suggestion for woeful XBox Map Navigation!

The clunkiness and sticky moments with the Map on XBox (not got a PS at the moment) definately mars the moment especially for New Players. Various solutions have been bandied about but none really address the issue nor offer a possible long term fix.

So here’s my 50Cents worth:-

Offer a drop down menu in Map Mode or View and enable players to select the Region Map (say Stonefalls) the map opens in the selected area and Voila!
Of course seasoned players can continue as theyve always done, if they so wish.

No more using my iPad with a saved Map Image to figure out where I’m going to next in a Quest. Fixing the sticky map may be an issue, offering an area after selection is a lot easier that finding a recurring bug.

ZOS just needs to greatly increase the amount you can zoom and allow us to hold trigger to temporarily disable sticky targeting so you can easily set waypoints.

You can currently see where a quest is by using ’show on map’ from journal and then bumpering out to larger area. It would be a nice addition if they offered similar option from map screen without having to open journal. Something like “highlight current quest”.

Trying to mark the EXACT location for a survey and then continuously missing by a good inch or so and then just giving up and winging it once you get there 😂

Map zoom on console are just terrible. Don't think ZOS really cares about it unfortunately. It has been ignored for years. We can't even have a mini map.

    Stay safe :)

    edit to add PSN player.

An option to disable the "magnetic snap" that pulls the cursor to every icon would be really nice, or maybe just make the cursor only "snap" to icons you can travel to, like wayshrines, houses and dungeons.

The "snap" is really annoying with things like doing the Alikr dolmen run, sine the northern most dolmen has a Mundas stone right above it and it pulls the cursor off the wayshrine, preventing travel until you get the cursor to "lock on" to the right icon.

Or trying to place a custom map marker for something, only to have the cursor pull away from where you want it, as it tries to snap to something else.

Just hold the right trigger down and it won’t try to snap.

I did not know that. That makes a world of difference.
    Thank you! Much appreciated!
