I didn't see this was in the combat mechanics section, so I thought it might have been a lore topic, and before I opened it, I was like 'Vanus Galerion! Mannimarco! Divayth Fyr!' The visuals are really cool though! But the scene being in Fungal Grotto takes something away from the powerful feeling

This would make a great poll. My vote is Orgnum.

ESOs most Powerful Sorcerer? Hmm, probably a nightblade with Mist Form, lets call it Dark Sorcerer 🤣, or a Warden, a Frost Sorcerer with Mist Form, or a Dragon Knight, a Fire Sorcerer with Mist Form.

But lets see how well the green Sorcerer called Arcanist will do, he will even have 2 Streaks, the Green Portals and Mist Form.

Just forget about the common Blue / Shock Sorcerer, its weak and useless and has the least class identity of all of them and does everything worse than the other sorcerer types.

Btw. in Blessed Crucible its easy possible to get a Sorcerer who can lay / chill on the ground and shoot a thunderstorm from its feets (the jumping corpse bug). Just dont have a screenshot yet.

    Mannimarco is not a sorcerer.

He’s long been established as Necromancer in ESO lore, going as far back as the original - Elder Scrolls Arena (aka ES #1 that launched the franchise) where his necromancer amulet was an item quest in ES Arena.

I would say that most necromancers started just right as mages. Necromancy is just a kind / school of magic, even its a forbiden one (most of the time). There were plenty cases of mages who turned into necromancer and still there is no hint that those necromancers ever lost their ability to use the other schools of magic (except ESO because of game balancing choices). The contrary is the case that necromancy was / is prevalent among mages, for example in the lore books of the mages guild or even quests, like the the mages quest line of oblivion.

And if someone uses Sorcerer as synonym for Mage (because its literally the only pure Mage class right now in ESO) then someone could say that Necromancers are Sorcerers who just extended their arsenal of spells / magic by forbidden practices.

The last time I said goodbye to Stibbons, he was a goblin. His sorcery didn't seem to help him much then. ;)
