Ok..., How Do I Start in ColdHarbour...?

I have like 4 accounts, i'm returning to ESO after 3 years of playing other AAA games that do not have a problem with old nVidia drivers due to Win7, yes now i'm running new nVidia drivers bc i dual booted Win10, that's just another story, back to my original Q... How do i start in ColdHarbour? Do i use any account i own that has any Chapter, or do i need to use my account that runs Gold Edition, or is ColdHarbour completely gone, or do i need to somehow get to ColdHarbour and meet someone, or ??? Do i have to start as a certain race or alignment?

typically the last quest in the harborage line will port you there at the end of the mission, or you can taxi there with another player

the last harborage quest is the alliance meeting on the isle of stirk, which molag bal interrupts and then you resolve that and take a portal to coldharbour with the fighters and mages guilds as the "natural" way to get there

coldharbour itself is base game zone, so it doesnt matter what version of the game you have its still accessible

if you're referring to starting the Main Quest-speak to the hooded figure in your alliance zone.

if you're already in the Main Quest-you need to complete the Harborage, or you can also get to Coldharbour by finishing your alliances final zone which gives you the "Messages across Tamriel quest-which leads into Coldharbour questline.

As other say you do the main quest in the harborage until you get one quest taking you to stirk who then open an portal.

Its an shortcut: ask some in a guild you are member of of or just look at the guild roaster, if some is in Coldharbor you can port to them. The coldharbor surreal estate also count.
This is not very useful for the quest, do that in order, but you might get other stuff like surveys or treasure maps there.

If you create a new character and play through the new tutorial you will get to choose to go to Coldharbor at the end of the tutorial and play through the original opening from there. So think of the new tutorial as something that was added as a sort of prequel to the original beginning. I personally think of it more like a dream sequence since it doesn't make much sense to go from being free to choosing imprisonment in Coldharbor. So in a dream you are on Balfiera but your soulshriven body is currently in the prison cell in coldharbor that you remember.

For existing characters you can talk to "the hooded figure" and get your soul stolen, unless they already played through the quest.

Which Balfiera gate/visual is ColdHarbour, how do i recognize it, does someone have a pic of it?

Does the "Hooded" NPC teleport you directly to the Prison where you get dragged out in chains and die on the alter?

Yes, when you follow the hooded figure you get whacked on the head, and then you see the cinematic with the chains and the altar. When you wake up, you are in the Wailing Prison and meet Lyris, like it used to be.
