Is meridia going to be the main villain in necrom chapter?

I was looking through the necrom deluxe edition and I saw that it comes with an Unfeathered crate that’s description says umaril themed items. Which those of you who may not know he serves meridia, and we know she seems to have more story left and usually the crates theme after the zone or story so that makes me wonder if we are teaming up with hermaeus mora to fight off meridia secretly? Either way I do hope we see pelinal whitestrake armor/costume in this crate given he defeated umaril

Well Darien has to come back at some stage and maybe Meridia is going to flip the realities around so we can end the 3 banner war finally.

Who knows its a multi-year story so could be awhile before we see it all yet but I'm sure the other daedric princes are involved.

If Naryu was the main acomplice, I would definitely play it, but sadly no, so no.
Cant stop thinking of Naryu and Mirri, hanging out with me in Morrowind, at the same time, brrr.

I did notice that too after I made this post and I know vaermina is one of hermaeous moras enemies so it actually makes more sense if she was the secret villain give they hate each other and she would fit the “cosmic horror” part they described given she has a lot to do with nightmares. It’s possible meridia pops up in the second part of the multi year story

Wouldn't surprise me if it's Lyranth, or she's involved somehow, she's definitely up to something.

Its hinted, and even seen with some of the armors, that there are Vaermina cultists at work.
So I think the main villian of the chapter will be secretly Vaermina. As she is one of Mora's main enemies, Part of Mora's sphere is the concept of memory, and vaermina is the stealer of memories, hence why those two couldn't get along very well. That she would be the main antagonist of the chapter.

They did expand on Namira, who is another of the 'forgotten princes', with The Reach storyline; maybe Vaermina's time has finally come

Or maybe it will be Peryite... the prince that is definitely a footnote in the lore at this point not even a footnote, more like the handwritten annotation on the margin of the main text

Yeah that’s true we also need sanguine and he works with vaermina time to time so he may be apart of this chapter too

If you don’t me asking where did you see vaermina style on the armor? I love spotting out all the styles and their connections! Also It’s possible we get sanguine too bc vaermina works with them now and then so he might make an appearance too given he has really no content, he may be later down the line tho if not already.

We have loose ends with both Meridia and Lyranth, so even if it's not this time, I hope they will address them next year. In any case, the plot is supposed to be ongoing so whatever happens, will not be self-contained, and likely continue onwards.

I’m actually happy to see more vampires I love them so much, but the way I see it I’m sure that evil mage that is using the vampires is probably working for vaermina

Nope, here is the thing too, some may not realize this, but given what is implied, strongly implied. From Morrowind the game.
is they may have originally been working the idea that Vaermina herself is the overall creator of vampires as even a Molag Bal worshipers stated in Morrowind he wasn't the original creator of the condition dispite what was commoningly believed. A thing that is implied within the dialogue in that game was Vaermina was directly connected to it. Different writers likely eventually made it Molag Bal in full, but in the earlier games, their connection to Vaermina was unmistakable and I hope its something they do explore. So its very likely these are a clan of vampires who worship Vaermina and maybe originate from her, maybe she was the one that gave Molag Bal the designs in how to create them. Would love to see lore on that aspect.

Now unlike lycanthropes, Vampires do have multiple daedric patrons, and even some worship Sithis. So unlike werewolves they do have variations in princes that they worship and associate with vampirsm.

Also the way Vaermina herself works, is much like a vampire herself. Instead of drinking blood she basically drinks memories. Her artifact is one that draws those memories. The Oblivion Skull of Corruption had the appearance of having vampire fangs too. Which was really cool looking. They changed it in Skyrim. But I preferred the Oblivion look more. Vampires also have nightmares that are very much her domain too.

Great point, I hope you’re right on that. I want them to have their own unique vaermina vampire motif too because I love vampires more and I would like to see more vamp motifs that take different looks, this one should be inspired by vaermina
