AM I MISSING SOMETHING? Mora's Whisper - Lurker-skin Sheath Lead not dropping

Hey everyone...

I'm just about to go absolutely insane as I've been farming this lead for the past 5 days... I've spent about 6 hours daily, farming the chests in the Vile Manse in Reaper's march, even leveling my ledgerdemain from 8 to 11 purely with the XP from opening chests.

Am I missing something? Is there some special condition I have to pass first before farming this mythic? I really feel like I must be missing something...

I've opened at least 250 if not more chests at this moment... Can somebody please help/advise?

I have all the DLCs and chapters purchased.
I have scrying & excavation unlocked - just no points spent in them yet.
I'm even using the CP star for better treasure

The Vile Manse lead was one of the easy ones for me. I think I found it on my 3 or 4th chest.

The watchling one took months of effort.

Not really sure it was worth it. Because after all that I still had to spend more time to get all of the books. For each character, I wanted to use the mythic with. On the console that's very time-consuming.

It's just RNG, some of them are just horrible for us all.
I got all teh moras whispers ones fast or passively except the one from imp city prison dungeon, it was god damn horrible, I had to do it like 50 times, worse thing is I had to do it in a group because of the tenderizer flesh atro boss.

Just level a new arcanist from 1 to 50, and legenderman up to 11, farming that leads in vile mansion and no luck!
i was wondering if their was a trick

I had to open a LOT of chests before I got it. I wasn't counting, so I'm not sure how many it was.

It took me AGES until it dropped just the other day. Something I noticed that I'm not sure helped, pick locks manually instead of forcing them. It takes longer, but I've seen some people claim that it does affect the lead drops. Mine didn't show up until I started doing that, and I'd been at it for weeks before. Might just be confirmation bias, but worth considering.

The watching lead was so bad it put me off mythics for months, and yes it took months. I swore never again to get sucked into chasing another time sync lead, and no Mora's Whispers was definitely *not* worth it!

I stayed on the bottom level while farming that one. Less people go down there. Many just come In for the Mage's Guild daily and leave. Still took a while, bit wasn't as bad as the one from the watchlings.

I have no idea how many chests I opened for this - I was opening only lower level ones, because I failed to find a single one above, and there were not alot of spots I did find below, so in the end it turned out into something worked into daily routine - log in, do writs, do vile manse chest run....

The lead from ICP's Watcher boss took me way longer than this one, good luck getting the drop.
