Now I'm not up to date at all on my lore of Elder Scrolls, but I do know that in Morrowind you can find the last survivng Dwemer, and ESO takes place long before Morrowinds time but it seems after the Battle of Red Mountain, so do you think some sort of expansion or story DLC could be possible? Would people even want it? Am curious peoples thoughts.

Most, if not all major zones, have something related to the dwemer because we do find it interesting. Since Dwemers are a mystery and should remain as such, it would be difficult to have an entire DLC main story related to the Dwemer.

AFAIK, Todd Howard has said whenever it has come up that the Dwemer will remain a mystery. I think if it came to a point where they weren't to remain a mystery any longer, Bethesda itself would be the entity to release a game based on Dwemer lore.

No, I think they even said they have no intention of having like a time travel chapter or anything to interact with them. not knowing what happened and only getting bits and pieces through quests or books is what makes them interesting.

Define update. At the most, we'll find a new dwemer ruin or two, maybe a different style of dwemer gear and furniture like the difference between Skyrim/Morrowind dwemer stuff, but anything surrounding the mystery of the dwemer's disappearance is going to be strictly verboten.

What's interesting is that lorewise he must be somewhere on Tamriel at the moment. Maybe we'll have a short encounter with him some day, who knows, but he also doesn't really know what happened.

I hope not. The mysteries of tamerial should be preserved to a degree. It keeps the magic of the lore alive.

Probably not, same for the akaviri as well. Besides, something as major as a reveal as the fate of the dwemer is probably something bethesda would want to save for a main entry to tes instead.

I would love to see Dwemer cities as they were in the prime, and I thought it would be really cool if the Vestige somehow traveled to the past and visited a Dwemer kingdom during its glory days. The story wouldn't have to address why or how they disappeared, so this can stay a mystery like Todd Howard wants, but we could still experience their world for a bit in such a way. I think the ESO design team could do wonders with this, because the ruins are already super impressive and awesome, so imagine if they could design them in their restored version.

I would love a full underground expansion like blackreach in greymoor for the Dwemer. But make it maybe solo/group instanced with no cities so it feels like a real exploration

Well, I think the story of Markarth DLC relies heavily on dwemer and their legacy. For me, it can be considered the dwemer expansion. I even thought at some point that they are going to reveal the mystery of their disappearance, but that never happened of course.
