Why does Pirharri the smuggler have a 35% fee? She's useless

I have only used her once I think. To be honest I tend to forget she even exists.

I use merchants for repair of 100 gold or less, otherwise I let the damage build up and use a kit.

Seems shes a convenience for those who don't want to make the trip to a den or have enough coin they don't care about the 35%.

    I guess that answers that.

Interesting as my impression was always that the penalty was there to avoid "pay-to-win" complaints because she was only available through paid content. This way the base game fences are better.

But actually the logic of avoiding heat does make sense to me, even if you can also obtain a home to easily do that. Gives two different methods.

I almost never used her originally but since I am a long time player with a decent amount of gold, combined with the quick slot update so she can be in the allies section, I do use her now as clearing inventory quickly is one of my top priorities.
Yes she has two use cases, first is fast clearing your inventory for stolen items after stealing endeavor.
Second its for leveling legerdemain other places than the Belkarth apple farm since there you enter the outlaw refuge to reset the containers. Here the main downside is that you can not launder items so you can just level half as fast each day.
On the upside you earn more gold even with her cut as you steal more valuable items than apples.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I use her as a houseguest and that’s about it.

This. I actually have her perched at the foot of one of my thrones as one of two guards.

I don't remember using her. 35% is too high for a convenience fee. 15% would be my maximum acceptable amount, and that is still high.

my problem with her is that she is a fence (sell) only, you cant launder through her

i usually use her when im getting masses of low value items just to rank up legerdemain (1xp for legerdemain for every fenced/launder item regardless of value)

so my usual method of mass gathering low value fence items is killing sheep in khenarthis roost, theres only like 2 NPCs you have to blade of woe to have free run of the area for awhile for like the 20ish sheep there

its a very quick way to max out fences using the assistant without needing to port anywhere

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I never use Pirharri for fencing as I find it easy to use the nearby Outlaws Refuge. I have found a use for her in one of my houses as prop in a kind of thieves den area.

I myself have found no use for her at all outside of placing her in homes simply because she's a Khajiit. The gaurds are just too easy and too little a threat in most zones to really warrent use to me. It would be nice if she at least had some sort of other features as well. Buying lockpicks, or maybe even the parden edicts too? I get the whole 'wanting to keep towns useful;, but come on, give her *something!*
