Indeed, that is the way to explain so many things (that it is magic). However, when the glow is so cringe-worthy, it tends to push us out of our fantasy dreams. A few glowy dyes can be lived with, but not such an overwhelming range and such a lack of choice of finding colors that aren't of that cheap nylon look.
