Cluttered maps when zoomed out

When using the map there is a huge amount of icons. To the point that you cannot even click the province sometimes without hitting a wayshrine.
This also affects the mouse-over when searching for a province.

I think if icons could scale down when zoomed out that would be a big improvement for usability on the world map.

Just some cents here.

Check out World Map Wayshrines Controller. As the name implies it lets you control which icons show on the world map.

I have it set to still show all the wayshrines, but I've hidden dungeons and trials because I never use the map to get to them and unowned houses and that made a huge difference. You can also set it to hide most of a certain type of icon and then specify exceptions - so for example you could pick the 1 wayshrine in each zone you most often use and just keep that one.

I would like the default map to be less cluttered, but I'm not sure making the icons smaller would help because I often want to click on the one I want without going into the zone map first, and if the icons are smaller that might be harder to do. Maybe they could scale as you zoom in and out, so with the map fully zoomed out they're small and when you zoom all the way in they're the same size they are now?

As a console player, I would love it if ZOS implemented something similar to this add-on. I've played so many games that let you toggle what shows on the map and it would make navigating them so much easier.

Zoom in consoles has been butchered to the point that's useless to zoom in since you can't place markers properly.

One thing I haven't yet added to the addon in addition to pin size according to zoom is pinsize according to real map size,
so it would be :
default pin size * zoom level * real map size
Adding real map size to the equation will help the user "feel" the real map size just by the size of the pins, so huge maps would have tinier pins and small maps bigger ones.

If ZOS chooses to do it and does it like that, then it would be perfect.

I have the opposite problem, can't click a wayshrine without hitting a home or it asking me if I want to focus one of a dozen quests.

I have mentioned this before. I have every wayshrine in the game and I can barely see areas, like galen and high isle.
The insult to injury is I cant turn off dungeons without the entire wayshrines gone.
I am on console too so the forced magnetism is a pain in the ass navigating anything on the map.
We need an option to actually filter out things like dungeons, and specific wayshrines.

I was just thinking about this and about how I wish I could hid certain icons in the map. When you have everything discovered damn is it a *** to look around the map. Those wayshrines... also who thought it was a good idea to put certain homes so close to wayshrines, ive teleported to home so many times by accident
