Q1 Dungeon DLC prediction - Apocrypha's Gate

If you explore near Ash Mountain in Stonefalls, you might come across a sealed door to a cave labeled Apocrypha's Gate. Its been there since launch.

Outside of it, there is a book labeled Last Words of a Devotee on top of the rocks. It reads:

latest
I won't live to write again. The Dagonites have broken into the inner sanctum. Our escape has been cut off.

They will burn the flesh from my bones, but I am at peace. My thoughts go to Hermaeus Mora. They will be recorded in the eternal libraries.

I go to join the Golden Eye in Apocrypha.

From the note we can surmise a bunch of Mora cultists got ambushed by Dagon cultists inside, so maybe the dungeon could be about retaking the Temple from the Dagonites. With the dialogue Mel Adrys had in Greymoor, it looks like we could go to the Indoril city of Necrom and revisit the lands of Morrowind. At least one of the dungeons has gotta be in Morrowind, especially Stonefalls since it still never got a DLC dungeon like Deshaan did. Given the Dagonites were the main bad guys in Blackwood, if they revisit it they could also connect to the Daedric powers fighting each other and possible foreshadowing to Meridia. Hermaeus Mora is largely untouched as an eso antagonist outside of Dominion/Craglorn quests, so I think they could explore him more.

This would also give us a chance to see Daedra like Lurkers and seekers again, along with this crazy concept art from Dragonborn made in 2012 of a massive Apocryphal creature:

Would be great to see what happens

Here it says the quest for Apocrypha's Gate was removed before release:

There's also a map of the dungeon:

Looks like I was kind of right, Scrivener's Hall is a library belonging to Mora cultists and Bal Sunnar is a dungeon in southeast Stonefalls (Daen Seeth), similar to how Apocrypha's Gate is a Mora cultist library in southeast Stonefalls.

"Kind of right"? Apocrypha's Gate was planned to be a Hermaeus Mora shrine in Stonefalls, as a normal delve. The Q1 dungeons are a Hermaeus Mora shrine in the Rift and a completely unrelated Telvanni village in Stonefalls. The only similarity I see is that one place is Stonefalls (and that one place is a shrine to Hermaeus Mora, which isn't surprising though as it was already known from the "Letter by Leramil the Wise" that this would be this chapter's theme).

I still think (hope) they're going to give us Apocrypha's Gate in some way, maybe in the prologue quest for the chapter, or maybe a place to visit in a daily quest that sends us out into the world. It'd just be nice to explore the shrine.

Thank you for completely missing the part where I specified Scrivener's Hall and Apocrypha's Gate are both libraries (and shrines) for Herma Mora. Refer to the dialogue lines:
    • I've learned not to dismiss rumor and legend out of hand.\n\nWhether there's an actual library or just a fiery pit of screaming Daedra, I couldn't say.
    • They dot the slopes of Ash Mountain. Legends tell of a secret Daedric library there, devoted to the Daedric Prince Hermaeus Mora.
    • The invaders put our library of Apocrypha's Gate to the torch. However, I'm sure some of our lore has survived, as our most precious scrolls are treated with a flame-resistant unguent.\n\nRescue the scrolls and my fellow devotees:

I hope so too, if Mora and Morrowind are going to be in this story arc for 2-3 years, now would be the literal best opportunity to explore a quest at this location

I played through the Necrom Prologue on PTS and can confirm, that Apocrypha's Gate will remain unused.
