Cyrodil Guards

Did the guards get buffed or maybe something else changed in U35/U36? I used to be able to go to a mine/farm/lumberyard, run up the tower, and use a fire ballista to kill the 4 guards around the flag in 2-3 hits, now I'm lucky to kill 1, 5 hits might get me a second, but the 3rd and 4th guard seem immortal...

Thanks

since many updates, guards now consider Champion Points on CP campaigns, and are stronger / do more dmg.
I don't remember what update it was.

by the way, there's an order to easy take a ressource

first of all, let's see :
    * on flag you have 2 healers (in robe) and 2 strong guards (kind of DK able to negate you).
the 2 strong guards at flag are able to selfheal 1 time per minute when they reach around 30%. Dont be surprised if they selfheal 1 time during the fight.
    * near tower you have a simple guard with shield and a mage healer (in robe) able to stun you and heal guards.
    * a patroling strong guard with shield aounrd the ressource.
    * a strong mage on op of tower (able to self him himself and create a burning zone near you)
    * 2 guards near building at the opposite side of the tower

you have to first kill the patorl + the guard & healer at the bottom of the tower (get inside for that)
then, kill the strong mage (at the top of the tower) from inside

then you can focus the 4 at flag : focus 2 mages healers first.
tip: you can use 2 fire ballistas or 2 lightning ballistas for that from top and easy kill them without being attacked.

The rule to always focus healers is the same as PVE, here. If you try to hit a guard near a healer, this one will heal him so it will take more time and you'll waste stam/magicka for nothing. It's better to focus healer first.

ther's no archer or other dangerous ennemy, the only problem is to kill them in the right order if you're alone. If you're not alone or experimented player you can just rush flag like a thug :D

Essentially the same; I'd sneak up the tower, kill the mage, set up the ballista, and nuke the 4 at the flag. All 4 were usually dead in 3-4 hits, then drop down for the 2 guards in front of the tower, and kill the patrolling guard if needed.

It's just lately, the siege weapon isn't killing the guards anymore

I normally run by a patrolling guard and between the flag guards, to draw their attention, run into the tower and up the stairs, hopefully drawing the patrolling guard and the two at the base inside after me.

Then I kill the guard (mage) who's midway up the tower-- taking care to stay out of the flag guards' line of sight so they don't attack-- then kill the guards who followed me up.

Then I go back down the stairs or jump down, and If the mage at the base didn't follow me up then I kill them at that time, drawing them inside the tower if the flag guards are doing too much damage so I can keep out of their line of sight.

Then I go after the four flag guards, focusing on the two mages first.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!
