A Bard Companion!

A fun little idea I had the other day was I wish there was a companion we could get in game, and not have to spend 50 bucks on them, that was a Bard. And I don't mean a fighting bard class companion like Isobel, Bastion, Mirri, Ember. I mean someone more like the banker followers but he or she just follows you and sings bardic songs or plays instruments. Sorta like Dandelion/Jackie from the Witcher. We could pick the song that play and instruments as well. Or have quests were we find new songs and instruments for them to play. That would be fun!

I enjoy that style music snd would love for some funny companion that sings and plays music to follow me around to take notes of my deeds for song!!

Could be very easily implemented in game as well. What do the rest of you think?

    I would use a bard companion 100% of the time, honestly! IF they were not annoying and put up some good songs and tales. Plus, a bard companion should have more dialogue lines than the ordinary ones!

    Exactly! If they were not annoying would be the biggest thing in this. They are a actual charming person not some horny sex fiend. I'm looking at you High Isle Jarkarn.

    Ideally I would want both a male and female version so everyone could have their own favorite with them.

    As long as they are not the fighting version and I can place them in my house and they continue to sing and play instruments there, I'm all for it.

    If he sings as bad as the bard in Gonfalon, my main will probably strangle him within 5 minutes. If his voice is okay, it could be nice during longer travels.

    Yeah that bard is trash. I love the Jim Cummings bard singers and the female altmer in alinor near the crafting writ turn in. Those singers are good.

    Also those argonians jam out in Murkmire

    No sorry I want a Nereid or a Goblin companion or both. It's a much more weirder experience than a bard companion and they make more noisy sounds and yells.

    A bard ...um... pet? Would be a fun idea for sure! Or, a non combat companion. Their job not being to fight, but to boost moral while you fight... or something.

    Either way, would be a fun idea, i think.

    similarly, I always wished that when a player uses an instrument next to another player doing the same the music would sync up. It doesn't have to be perfect just maybe the same song at the same tempo.

    Or if I start playing the flute my companion also starts to play an instrument.

    Players are always playing instruments together while waiting for events/spawns. Sometimes it lines up and sounds great, would just be a nice little detail if it were done right.

    What a great fun idea! Would prefer it to a flower pet worth 30 tickets....

    A <insert race> bard could be cool. But, I'd like a Nordic warrior, a High Elf beauty queen, and/or a wood elf archer first probably.

    OP is not talking about some DnD Bard class but an actual bard, the musician type.

    Hell yeah, a bard companion that sings while you take down monster and stuff.
    Would be cool if its a band of bard.

    A companion as useful as an NPC standing in an in does not seem to be a great addition to the game. I had thought that each companion so far was somewhat based on a class that already existed.
