Stamina Sorcerer

In light of the negative threads of late or other critical threads I wanted to simply make a fun appreciating post for this unique stamina playstyle.

For years I've struggled to pick a main class bouncing back between my Stam DK, Stamden and Stamplar with my Stam DK winning the most time. I always felt like something was missing with the classes I played and I swore I had it narrowed down between those 3 until recently... Now years ago I played. Stam Sorc, roughly around 2017 and I only got to level 30 and moved on, but 2 weeks ago I made a Nord Stamina Sorcerer and have been having a absolute blast!!

This class and playstyle is fun as hell. It's fast, it hits like a truck, it melts mobs and you are unkillable with Crit Surge alone. You feel like this elemental warrior ball of death and lightning. I have soloed every world boss I've come across including some wandering ones and DLC bosses with only Crit Surge for healing and I've beaten them all. It's just good fun. Rocking a big 2 handed sword on the front with a Maelstrom Arena Lightning Staff on the back makes me feel like this badass Nord Storm Warrior. I was able to pull 50k dps but just using Stampede, Hurricane, Excecutioner, Wall of Storm and Lightning flood with starting gear and without really trying.

If you are like me and either can't decide on a class or hate the fact that stamina skills are mainly poison based for some reason then I implore you to make a Sorcerer. It's just lightning and physical damage. Pure destruction.

That's pretty much it, just wanted to talk about the fun I've been having after being on autopilot for 7 years. If anyone cares of race and gear, I am a Nord who uses Hundings Rage and Order's Wrath with 2 handed front bar and maelstrom lightning staff back bar.

Agreed. My favorite play style was StamSorc, especially when Dual Wield/Bow was still a thing.

I just recently made a High Elf stamina sorcerer - duel wield -- just hit 15, and haven't decided on back bar, but he does pretty well with just duel wield and mages wrath...... although I am using resolving vigor as my heal.

Stamsorc is really fun to play both in pve and pvp but right now my main is a Magplar but I have some plans for my stamsorc :)

I've seen using dual wield front bar with 2 hander on the back is powerful with Stam Sorc. Especially when you use stampede on back bar. Once you get crit surge and throw down some AOEs, you'll never need vigor unless you're getting hit hard constantly. It'll heal you 3300 hp every second per every crit

I could never get into magicka builds as I prefer to smack things. Magicka DK is the exception, that thing is a fire breathing meat stick

Happy for you that you've finally appreciated it. I've been playing one for years and have always loved the playstyle even more now that I've converted him to a one-bar Oakensoul stamsorc :)

From a pvp perspective stamsorc has always been the most fun for me. A very mechanically fun and visually entertaining playstyle.

I'll definitely try it out --- I will admit, as an older player, I tend towards one bar styles... flipping bars is slowly becoming something beyond my ability, but I still love the game, and that would help if it keeps the healing up.

Yep. I had one as my main back right before people started noticing how strong spin to win was. Ah, the good old days...

As an older player myself who's had arthritis issues since his late 30's I've found the oakensoul Magicka sorcerer to be a big help. I can't hit the dps I can with a two bar set up but I can hit about 80k(with pets, prey, and wall) and can play longer before I start feeling it. If my hands are REALLY singing I can simply drop to heavy attack and one button. Dps drops drastically but overland and some dungeons are doable.

My main is a stam DK, but a while ago when I had nothing else much to do in the game I levelled up a magnecro, 2 magsorcs (one lightening build, one pet build), nightblade, stamden tank, stam dk tank, magplar and stamsorc (I'd already levelled up a mag DK).

Of all of them magplar and stamsorc were the most fun to play. The magplar made me wonder why I hadn't been playing it earlier - it totally suited my in-your-face play style - but then its skills were nerfed/changed and while it's still fun it's not as good as it was.

The stamsorc was a revelation, so strong, so fast... and learning how to play it fed ideas back into how I play with my main stam DK.
