Bloodthorn Assassins quest

jg970459
jg970459
Is the Bloodthorn Assassins quest bugged or am I just blind. I've spent an hour or so entering and re-entering the rooms for this quest; opening every crate I see. But no matter how many times I search or re-log I will find nothing.

I am supposed to find Verric and his Assassins in a crate on one of two boats accordingly to the quest. He's no where to be found; some incite please.

Btw I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum. I went through the forums and nothing else sounded right for this kind of question.

No response...I guess I'll sleep on it.

Yes, it's bugged. Under 'some' situation the crates simply appear to stop respawning.

    Workaround:
    - whilst on the boat, facing a *broken* crate, logout. (you'll see a number of these, those "should be" intact).
    - wait for the 10 second logout timer to complete.
    - wait a few more seconds on the character screen, and then re-enter the game with that character.
    - if the crate is now intact, click on it, and then repeat with other crates until the quest completes.
    [logoff/logon again as required]

I had the same issue (in beta as well) and the above steps do in fact fix or circumvent the issue. I found that it only takes once to them to respawn, but you need to move fast.

Have tried this many times now, still to no avail. I'm getting pretty frustrated :/

I haven't had any luck relogging, I did this at least 10 times yesterday, sometimes waiting a couple minutes before rejoining and never found one of quest crates to be unbroken.

Yeah. I tried like 15 times today to no avail. I wish we would get some word on when this will be fixed. It was broken last beta and I had thought they said that they had put in a fix for the problem. Some developer response to this issue would be helpful.

no luck either, except that I had a hard time logging back in. I ll write it off as a broken quest, I guess.

@fiftypercentgrey if it weren't the Main Story quest I'd write it off too... unfortunately it is not :(

After logging in again for the <insert large number here>th time, I finally found one chest to respawn every 30 seconds or so. Guess you just need to keep trying and get lucky...

I've tried the trick, I still cannot complete this quest. Spent hours on this and it's a real turn off. This game is too buggy.

I found one Suspicious Cargo crate that kept respawning every 30 seconds next to the lighthouse. (to the north of the docks)

Maybe others can confirm this since i've finished the quest now

I got inside the cargo hold entrance of ship on left, now I crash immediately on log in, I don't even have time to do a quick mouse turn and click E on the door to escape! Tried a dozen times and gave up.
I guess I'll have to request they move my character if it keeps this up.

**anyway after an hour of logging in about 25 more times and crashing either instantly, or in 1-2 seconds, enough time to take a few steps, i finally inched my way off the ship. As soon as i was in the water i was ok. Needless to say i ran as far as i could from the Evil Ship of Death and abandoned the quest!

I am having this exact same problem.

I am unable to do ANYTHING before crash.

    DO SOMETHING!

I was having the same problem with the crashing bug but the way I fixed it was by going to the daggerfall lighthouse north of the ship, there is a crate that respawns there and I searched that one for the assassin to jump out. To get out of the Ship I fast-travelled to the daggerfall wayshrine in the few seconds of playing time before the crash.
