With the 2023 Global Reveal Event on its way I am left wondering how related is the reveal-reward to the next big feature in 2023? The reward for watching the 2023 global reveal event is the ritual casting emote. Is it related to possible spell crafting? Who knows? maybe it is completely irrelevant or maybe they are linked? Any thoughts?

I don’t think so, I hope not anyways. If it does mean anything, it could be so many things. Like the place we’re going has magic or the enemy faction does rituals… I think it’s best to just wait the 2 weeks to not get disappointed over guesses.

While it would be nice if it was a hint on spellcrafting, where do you see the crafting aspect in this? Conjuration itself is nothing new in this game and this is a random conjurer emote, so it can mean anything.

It sure could be a spellcrafting hint, though argonian is alarming, I don't really like argonian culture, got enough of it during Blackwood, I hope that we'll move to Telvanni Peninsula. Spellcrafting and Telvanni, perfect match.

Well, it's a 'Ritual emote', not conjurer. Ritual by it self is creativity, in some cases Rituals is for creating some things, so why not, for example we create a spell (symbol) and to be functional it requires a proper Ritual. So yes, you can look at it from that point of view

Aah. Well those doesn't mean anything. They use all manner of races and styles in the promotion pictures of mementos, emotes, costumes, skins and whatnot. They have even used non-argonians to show argonian themed skins.

People are looking way too much into these things, it's just an emote like warmhands that can be used for many things. They have rarely if ever had much of a connection to some coming content, less so an event. One of the coming events is an Elsweyr one.

The text mentions "manifestations" and manifesting things is considered a part of the conjuration school of magic in the TES games. That's why I wrote it's a conjurer's emote. Just an explanation.

I don't know if the emote means anything. Could just be someone casting a ritual and the feature could be something else.

I'm more interested in the backgrounds here - that could give us clues about the zone at least.
    9786faeea45218a5892bc620125bf3f8.jpg

Skulls, candles, dark stone? Looks ominous.
...almost like... a city of the dead?

(which yes, if it were Necrom and that led to the Telvanni Peninsula, Spellcrafting would be a likely feature.)

I just hope that whatever this feature is doesn't make things crazy. Can you imagine how much 'fun' people would have if Spellcrafting ended up being 12 Mythic item-level grinds because your raid lead wants forces you to run a specific set of 10 skills and 2 ults? Especially if some of the runes you need to find are locked behind things like "random drop in a Tales of Tribute coffer" or "1% drop from Z'Maja in CR+3"

Why would a Dunmer necropolis and temple city under the supervision of Great House Indoril be represented by a dark mossy ruin with Leyawiin pots and chests and Hakoshae flags and not a single piece of the usual Indoril temple furniture or traditional ancestral grave decorations? Of course it would be obvious then, but it still seems a bit weird to me to present it like this if it really was about Necrom.

I don't know where it's going to be. I just know a lot of people are trying to make connections like "Spellcasting emote = Spellcrafting is the feature!"

It does look like a tomb (not too many places go crazy with skulls in decoration), and Necrom is definitely a city that we know nothing about beyond it being a city of the dead. But there are loads of other places it could lead.

My first impression of the stonework was actually Ayleid, and I've been wanting to see things like Colovia for a while. Skingrad would be an excellent Chapter anchor city, and Miscarcand would make for a great public or group dungeon. But we don't know many places in Cyrodiil known as tombs like that. There might be some in Hammerfell since again we know next to nothing about most of Hammerfell, but from what we have seen of Hammerfell, it's a lot more sandstone.

I feel like the Argonian isn't telling us anything. I'm more into outfits than furnishings, but the fact that he's wearing Blackreach Vanguard and Ebonsteel Knight is not making me feel like this involves Skyrim or Blackreach.

Personally, I'd love to have a Colovia chapter. I'd also love if spears were the new big thing, but I don't think either of those is coming. I know a lot of people are hyped about the Telvanni Peninsula and Spellcrafting, but I guess we'll see.

Or it could be relative to the dungeons anyway... and we have no idea where those could be.

I think it's just random stuff put together for the picture. The combination between Leyawiin pots and Hakoshae flags just makes no sense lorewise.

We know it's a sacred city and burial ground of Velothi origin that is currently still used as a huge cemetery by the Tribunal Temple. So it would be strange if there wasn't anything that looks related to either Velothi culture or to ASV worship.

That arch looks gothic in style which is typical for Ayleid and Altmer architecture, but the stone looks so dark.

The dragon frog spews fire and the coral crab was a water animal at least ;) But that's it. That's also the reason I think the emote this year shouldn't be taken too seriously either.

This is what I'm talking about. It's just an emote reward and shouldn't be taken serious.
We got Lizard-guar pet as consolation before, warmhands emote in daily reward, and Galen Wisp as a holidays gift. Are we supposed to add all of these together and assume we are going to get ritual casting druids and argonians in a frozen spot in Galen or murkmire?

I was debating throwing that in! :D

A group of Dibella worshippers made strictly from argonians and druids are doing a ritual in Galen and Murkmire, which are oddly cold right there of some reason, to make glowy flowers!

@NotaDaedraWorshipper I'm sorry, but the longer I look at this picture and the background pic of the announcement dates, the more I come to a different conclusion. It's literally in the background. Do you see all that moss? That dirt? The sandy floor tiles and dirty pots? This is clearly announcing a new class: The janitor.

@Syldras Hmm, could b,e could be. Or maybe, going by the background and the item rewards which if you look at them totally has a bit of a growth and wood theme. And what does growth and wood have to do with a ramshackle ruin? Why rebuilding of course! Either we are getting a builder class or builder themed skill. It makes perfect sense, since all of them seem to have vanished from Tamriel with all of these derelict buildings everywhere, even in big well built cities and just pieces of garbage and parts. It's time to put it all to use and fix every broken piece and crack!

I think this might be a pretty big clue, remember when the Greymoor Reveal came out and we got a Pet Bat and how the chapter was about Vampires and how Bats are connected to them? meanwhile this is a Ritual Casting Emote so something to do with powerful wizards, with all these hints I am now almost 100% sure the next chapter is on the Telvanni Coast and unlike Vvardenfell hopefully we will actually beable to officially join the House this time.

Speaking of houses that also brings up what player homes would we see? we already have a Telvanni Wizard's Tower in Vvardenfell so would we see another one? how about an Emperor Crab's Shell as a notable player home?

It's the "Undertow caverns" in Blackwood, left to the wayshrine outside of Leyawiin. They combine leyawiin structural pieces with Elsweyr sarcophagus, bookshelves and Hakoshae banners. Michael Audije worked on this delve and got a couple preview images on his page: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/RnKPWO

It's literally just an already established delve been choses as a background. And sine Blackwood won't be next in line to become free to play after Morrowind, I hardly doubt it's gonna contain things like the prologue quest or anything similar as they can't lock content related to a singular dlc behind other dlcs (Except for mythic leads apparently.)

There's nothing much to it, neither the emote nor the background.
