And Ember isn't? the intonations of Ember's voice lead me to believe she'd be the most genuinely caring friend, especially from how she grew up and had to rely on her comrades.

There's not even a hug emote yet. The closest (and most commonly seen) physical contacts in the game are probably the killing animations when using the Blade of Woe.
