Xbox EU death

I'm so utterly depressed.
The player base has completely disappeared from Xbox EU..

Yeah yeah.. I know all you EU players say it isn't... but seriously.. have you compared the player base to the NA server?
It's such a shame that a server is so dead....where everyone seems to be a part of a mass migration to NA.

Is this the true "End Game" for the eu?

Game could do with some incentive to bring players back, problem is pvp not pve imo..they have introduced so much for pve yet the game bleeds players but no new pvp content for years..cyro is [Snip] and the same map, same keeps, same fights since 2015 pretty much.

Imagine if call of duty asked players to play on the same map for 10 years, they wouldn't be the number one shooter now, I tell you that much

I like the quiet, it's like playing Elder Scrolls of old.

It depends where and when you are though, some places are still packed.

I play on both Xbox NA and EU-server so I say this with certainty: EU is dead compared to NA. It just doesn't feel "alive" because I barely see anyone when traveling across zones. I honestly think it's only a few hundred players that are out there traveling the map.

xbox EU feels like playing a solo player game in survival mode.
This can have some charme, but also locks you out from lots of content.

I play there sine 4 years, and added an NA account 3 years ago to be able to actually play the game the way it is intended.
Problem is, that there is a cascading effect.
Players left, many when there were severe issues with Cyrodiil, and login problems.
Like this less players remained for group related content, like daily worldboss quests. This discouraged remaining players in playing such content, at that time I still actively played both servers. At some point the loss of players was so strong, that even I gave up as one of the last worldboss farmers, and focussed on NA only, except for events.

I have suggested several times to break this cascade, e.g. by adding scaling to bosses, like dolmens use it. More players, higher difficulty, less players, easier. This would allow remainers to still play such content.
The fact that such issues were never adressed finally discuraged me so much, that I left for a different game meanwhile, and play ESO just briefly at events or to explore a new chapter.

Xbox EU here an agree the server is quite empty. No need to go into why so many people have stopped playing as it has been mentioned 100 times before.

It's been dead for years. PvP on Xbox EU is bland. Fight the same people day in and day out. Most of the ones who used to be completely destroyed have now learned not to be completely destroyed (occasionally they do still). But guess what, there's hardly anyone else to fight. It's made me a 10x better player, however its extremely boring. Bgs takes ages to get a game, and after about 3 games, you're in high MMR because of the low population. Traders are the worst. It's ever been. You literally can't get standard items in the stores. Cyrodill most of the time is absolutely dead, you can't even fight anyone, all these other servers can get fights all the time, we can't, its why people have left making it even more dead. I go to NA, and it's brilliant, people talking in zone chat, more variety of items in the Traders, PvP is way more fun, the amount of players you have the potential to fight is absolutely gigantic compared to EU. Bgs takes a few minutes to get a match. Zenimax definitely needs to do something about it. And MMO will not be an MMO when there's a dead server

I'd go NA if I could transfer account but I've put way to much time and money into it to do that and start over.
Bg is my bread and butter and yea it average about 15 - 30 mins for a game, sometimes I give up.

It's a shame they don't (or it's not possible) to merge servers with NA / EU and with Playstation. I don't understand how it all works.

Yup, BG is filled with mostly the same people, I play BG non-stop and it's always the same gang going at it.

I don't really mind, there's enough to do and there's still enough people to play with to have fun but I do agree that finding a group, both, for PVP and PVE is getting harder and harder.

same as my observation (playing from month on xbox eu and only login rewards on pc)

solo game(i don't mind), especially in dlc zones; couple of players dueling in base game big cities; sometimes someone tries to form trial group; one can even hire guild trader in city (if i had something to sell  )

wait for this year theme announcement next days (and the new servers for hardcore players) for it to become more populated...

If players are looking to transfer servers, it doesn't have to be all at once. Your ESO+ is shared across your account- consider doing dailies on US if you've amassed such a fortune on xbox, but it doesn't mean that you have to give up your EU account.

As a PC player, I personally wouldn't mind if characters were copied over, but all the items/currency wouldn't be possible for a multitude of reasons. One is technical, and the other is balance. That doesn't mean you can't transfer the collection, however.

on xbox it took me month to get at CP400+ (full game; eso+ and probably something like 150 hours).
mages, fighters, psijic maxed, undaunted almost, 6 - 7 traits crafting (or around) - without addons.
most of the dlc main quests done for skill points.
almost gold-ed with preferred sets, maelstorm is frost staff for now  and my other 4 toons are working for gold
(pale order lead at empty orsinium is definitely a challenge  )

don't have a lot of pets, houses, costumes and all kind of shinies i have on pc, but they are not necessary to actually play.

If zenimax allows character transfers, not items or anything, just literally characters, I'd swap to PC as soon as I get a PC. Even if they said you will have to rename your character if it's name was taken. I do not care. I know there's a few technical reasons. But please zos merge servers, do cross play or allow transfers of some kind because honestly xbox EU is absolutely dead

It is probably an unfixable 2fold issue that ZOS cannot influence.

Firstly and most importantly, xbox as a brand killed itself in 22 secs at E3 2013, it has been trying to redeem itself ever since but with no avail. While in NA there is a loyal MS/xbox brand fanbase, in EU, people are either more inclined towards the actual logical choices of gaming and/or do not have some sort of materialistic brand loyalty.
So overall the xbox player base is dwindling.
It is near non existent in the Asian countries.

Secondly as well as it ties into the first point, xbox game pass kills games and kills devs (profit decrease killing devs)
So players are less inclined to stick only on an MMO or whatever game for a lot of time rather than just switch to whatever game is released on game pass that month.
The tying into the first point is that anyone with logic who are not hindered by financial limitations, would recognize that xbox has zero games, any game it has can be played on PC so in turn they would gravitate towards PC and any person with a PC who likes ESO/MMOs would go to the PC clients. Especially with ESO as you can play it with a gamepad no issue on PC.

On a counter to that I play on PS EU and it is kicking just as much as ever. Though the community is a bit fractured and has turned greedy rather than wanting to help one another.

I moved to NA properly like a year ago and the difference is night and day.

PvP on EU has been dead for two or three years. I can't remember the last time it got to pop lock outside of midyear mayhem.

On NA, it gets to pop lock at like 8pm GMT, which is 3pm US time at the earliest.

Even outside of PvP, NA feels like an MMO. People are actually interacting in towns, you see people in delves, public dungeons, in the wilderness etc.

Xbox NA seems to have steadily dwindled since U35. I do mostly BGs, and there are far fewer players now. It’s generally the same crew of 30 or so players.

The impact of U35 continues to drive players away from the game.

I have an account on Xbox NA, and I haven't seen a noticeable drop in players since U35. I think it's overblown.

High Isle was extremely empty when it first came out, which could have been due to any number of reasons; perhaps Tales of Tribute as main selling point didn’t sell copies? It’s pretty unfair to assume people just up and left the game because of Update 35, the more likely reason at all if there was a player decline; which isn’t likely as veteran players are getting replaced with new ones every day; would be the lack of content being added, and the fatigue veteran players have of dealing with horrible performance.

I was referencing the battleground population only. A lot of really good players have left in the past 3-4 months. Fatigue of bad servers, sure, but I also think fatigue of inept and often extreme combat changes (like U35). My main is a Magwarden, so maybe U35 was more disappointing to me than some others.
