Kinda weak. I guess gold's nice for the new guys but that amount is not that hard to get, and for the New Years I'd expect something with more oomph, especially since for now we have nothing else to look forward to. We don't know the next chapter, or what this year's event rewards will be.

Other thoughts: I gotta wonder what the heck DO ppl expect to get for free dailies that take like 2 seconds to "earn"?
Free crown crates? motif books? what would make ppl happy? wth.
TBH I'd much rather it be the gold, TV and AP than another free pet.

I have millions banked and sure I can make 115000 in a day easily, but I'm still psyched as heck to get that much gold for free just for logging in.
For me I see housing plans, motif pages; with a little patience and hunting I can do a lot of damage good with that much free gold

Yes @Tenthirty2 , they expect crown crates or pets for instance, like it was advertised and was given at the beginning in 2018. But as with everything else in this game, devalued until almost meaningless, after people have made it a habit to log in daily. I suppose it's time to change that habit (the daily login rewards haven't been a reason to login daily for a long time though).
I do however hope there are some players that value the bit of gold given, like new players for instance. But for many the 110k does not in any way compare to the login rewards we used to get.
Check out the eso history of daily login rewards. They were great in the beginning (for instance september 2018, with a costume, 2 crates and still 100k gold for those who like that), or october 2018 with 5 crates and a pet).

At a glance, 4 free crates, a mount, outfits, wow.
NGL, I'm still happy for the gold, but seems they could do with adding some variety back into the reward pool.

There was a problem. Which was that giving so many free cates in 2018 in general meant no one was buying crate packages. And that meant a fairly large revenue drop. Which meant the suits weren't happy. On top of that, many people had so many gems they could buy anything they wanted, and - didn't have to buy crates for gems. Again, the suits weren't happy.

So now we have stuff that's useful (for me, with "baby" alts to level) but despised by most. Those "glory days" of crates beyond belief in rewards aren't happening, ever again. And a lot of that back then was simply to promote the "crate/crown store" as the only place to get the "great stuff" - in other words promoting an addiction.

I don't regularly buy crates - though there are seasons I really like where I'll pop for a 4 pack. So that's "full disclosure" if you like.

I don't expect crates. I know it's not going to happen again. But I appreciate them giving things like emotes or costumes. I actually use and enjoy those. Gold's just going to be added onto the hoard pile. Maybe I'm spoiled.

@Tenthirty2 no worries, I like to drop by the forums from time to time, and I like informing about the 'history' of their on 'free stuff', since a lot of people haven't seen the glory days themselves, and therefore just think expecting/hoping/wishing for better stuff is being spoiled or naive, though it could easily be argued that it is naive by now sadly.
I don't expect the months of 5-10 crown crates back, but I do enjoy costumes and pets and the like, and a crate from time to time would be nice on top. I think the costume in november was brilliant for instance
And I'm always disappointed when there's no christmas present I must naively confess.

Yeah, we were spoilt with the rewards at the beginning, in retrospect. I'm good with just one special thing per month now though.

Didn't we get the white lion mount last year? I think a couple of mounts, outfits, personalities etc per year would be good. They could also add a nice piece of furnishing into the mix (something like the Sacred Hourglass or similar piece of special furnishing). I'm a bit tired of pets, personally, but I guess newer players would appreciate them, as they would 100k gold.

100K is, what, a nice purple furnishing plan? A reasonably uncommon motif? It's not exciting, but it's good.

What I wish we had, was a vendor we could take some of this stuff to, and trade in for purple gems .... even a hard limit would be fine, such as 1000 of the poison for one gem, or 200 of the purple healing potions .....and then only give them in increments of 250, or 50, respectively. So, yes, it would take 4 days to get a purple gem, but at least you can do something with them, other than create a glory mound of poison in your bank vault, and then, destroy most of it every 6 months.

Right now, having just checked, I have 9000+ poison potions,,,,, and about 10 stacks, or 2000 of the healing ones.

I also have 7 blacksmith research, 6 clothing, 8 woodworking, and 5 of the all research scrolls. I have a Master Crafter that has ALL of the research done -- if I could trade those in, even if just one gem for the single craft ones, and 2 for the alls..... something that I could USE in the account.

Or, even, just give us a vendor that lets us get some decent gold for said items ..... I'd even be willing to give them away to newer players .... if we had that option, or trade them.

I appreciate that there is a daily gift ..... and I know that games only adopted them, as a psychological ad for their paid services, such as loot crates, or battlepass, as it logs you in every day, and triggers the Fear of Missing Out ..... which can then be further hinted at, once you are logged in.
But, it is kind of nice to get something each day, and it does have to be set up and programmed in, so that they work.

I would just appreciate an option for more experienced players to tailor their gifts to better suite their playing style.... a little satisfaction goes a long way towards making me want to play more, and therefore get more things from the crown store, as I would be more invested in the game, as opposed to just adding "inventory management mini games" to the system.

I miss the days of crown crates or even dlcs being apart of the daily rewards... instead I just get to look forward to right click deleting the rewards dropping in my inventory when I log in...

Rewards can become compelling and can turn into a test of constitution for some players. This was a common complaint, and ZOS addressed that. I wouldn't want them to go back on those changes. The rewards may be "meh" but that is better than the feeling of needing to log in because some very high value or once-in-a-lifetime reward is being given out every month. Especially if Real Life does not permit daily logins.

I really like the 100k myself but I am on console where our prices aren't massively inflated so take that as you will.

@Elsonso if they wanted to stop fueling peoples addiction/need to login in daily (wich may indeed be a good idea), then they should drop the daily login rewards completely. And I can get behind that, instead of this watered down, almost meaningless version, which will either prompt you to feel the need to login, or make you think meh, this is a dissapointment, as it feels when you are sort of told to expect nice things, but get almost nothing. Though I can see that is only quite negative way to perceive it.
I think it was nice when they placed the months hightlighted reward after like 20 days or so, so it meant people weren't forced on evcery single day to qualify for that stuff.

I can get behind that, too, but apparently they feel that new and leveling characters need incentive to stay engaged. I do not need most of what they are handing out for free (food, potions, crafting stuff) and the rest I should be able to earn in game, and in better quality. However, as long as they offer free stuff, I will take it. If I like it, I will keep it. If I don't like it, I will delete it. if it can't be deleted, I will just ignore it.
