Went for a 3. Bugs, bugs, nerfs and some more bugs. But we did get Dreadsail Reef which is a super fun trial. The dungeons are also difficult and fun.

Gave it a 9 out of 10, at least for me.

Update 35 was yet another nerf in a long line of nerfs, only this time it cost me my main spammable as a dragon knight. The one I've been using since I came back in 2017... losing it was a heavy blow.

But I still had fun overall. Enjoyed the new zones, mostly. Jakarn was a grating, obnoxious, shell of his former self (HELLO, GOOD LOOKING!!!) and the main plot on High Isle was surprisingly predictable, bland, and short. However, High Isle and Firesong both had very amusingly off-kilter side-quests and some genuine flourishes of artistic brilliance. The odd random events, droll touches (like mudcrabs trying to snip snip at a body just barely suspended above them on a wrecked ship), and so on showed clear love and affection for the franchise. Elder Scrolls is meant to be somewhat insane, and this year reminded me of the joyful madness of Elsweyr. I was into it. It's also kind of fitting that the true strength of each zone was in its side-quests, since I've traditionally found those more engaging than the main quest in each title.

I just wish they'd stop nerfing the heck out of me every six months to a year and I have no idea how much more hybridization is in the future. Am I going to have to completely rebalance my stats and abilities come U37? Worrying to not know.

Oh, and Tales of Tribute... not my thing. I have more fun studying Calculus than playing that game. It seems needlessly convoluted, matches take way too long, and I can't fathom why I'm supposed to pretend to fight monsters and foes in a fantasy card game when I'm a crazed dark elf pyromancer who can actually do that stuff. Would have preferred that ZOS add darts or pool, instead. But, some people genuinely LOVE that card game, so it worked out. Just not my thing, and that's 100% okay.

Also, I don't raid and I usually just do pug dungeon groups every now and then. From the sounds of things, my opinion would probably be less glowing if I was more hardcore. Lots of raid guilds folding up shop and whatnot.

It would be 10/10 if ZOS/ESO devs reacted the bugs and corrected right away. Also lack of communication for non-dropping style pages (even after it is known by community, they did not do anything to annouce in game to stop people wasting time on farming it.)

Still I enjoy playing 2/3 of my gaming time...

Happy new year everyone, I hope 2023 brings great improvements to Tamriel PvE / PvP.
    Cheers!

2/10 only because the new Dungeons are pretty nice and the raid is fine with some heavy mechanics aspects that also require some effort for DDs.

For most of the rest: Wow, this was a really bad year. But hey, thanks for the mess they did with U35 (not just content but also communication around it and the behavior shown by the lead dev) I am now saving a lot of money which I spent before for ESO+. I was considering to get ESO+ again with U36 and there came the quality "improvements" shown with various long lasting and raid breaking bugs. This also leads to more challenges due to more players than usual leaving prog groups and finding replacements for those players.

Honestly, if they managed to get quality back up to decent levels and started to take communication with their paying customers more serious, then I would be a lot more happy and willing to pay for ESO+. But that is not the case with the current performance by the development team.

I liked the story and the area of high isle very much. Sadly they didnt care much about the housing community and just gave as a crownstore house (with way too many stairs/doors) and an in room appartment.

The new companions are not bad but i still dont really like any of them so far. I want a male nord/redguard/breton or an imperial one without red hair that acts like a chickenleg.

    I gave a 1 because I was very disappointed.
The 1 thing I like this year is Isobel.
    Hence 1/10.

I enjoyed everything about the game I play. Sometimes I have to relog to complete a quest can be annoying though.
