Character and other textures not rendering

played the game, quit, tried to play the game again then the following happened.

At character selection/create character screen a lot of the textures are not rendering. I can see an outline of my toon, and the large water texture and some UI elements but the rest of the skins etc are not displaying. When I change from windowed>full screen it displays for half a second then goes back to before.

please help

I've had the same problem and tried the same thing and i've sent multiple support requests and have gotten nothing back from ZO, I'm beginning to think they are just ignoring this problem and i bought the game early and haven't been able to even play, I meet all the pc requirements so if they don't get back to me soon or fix this *** i'm gonna ask for my $ back and go somewhere else because this is ridiculous.

Maybe try and reset the settings.ini? You can find the file at documents in your Elder Scrolls folder.

Ok so I got mine working again, though i'm not sure exactly what I did.

I deleted the file ShaderCache.cooked in the elderscrolls folder.

I removed the eso.exe from my AWD catalyst exceptions to let the game control the settings and made sure my system was set to a high performance and I also coped the UserSettings posted here

oh and if you are using a laptop make sure your power cable is plugged in as the power saver setting might also be affecting it...maybe.
