I doubt it will be soon, but eventually ESO will expand beyond the borders of Tamriel to other shores.

Nope. We should stay with only Tamriel.

I'm pretty sure Yokuda is like gone gone. It literally sank in the deep ocean. The whole continent too.

Pyandoea would probably be another one that would be hard to do since it's mainly a marshy flooded land with lots of in land ocean like bodies of water. Unless they overhaul swimming and water in ESO, which I would love, I don't see it.

Atmora is also another place that we would not be able to go because the snow/frost got so bad rhat even the atmorans, who can survive even worst cold that nords, were starting to freeze to death.

Akavir is the only place we could feasibly go. They would just have to address how we aren't being attacked on sight or vice versa. I guess working the monkey people would work since they are friendly.

I'd choose sea elves just because it would be less lore intrusive and less generally concerning. Really don't want another Summerset situation with more important areas, like Akavir.

I voted Pyandonea, would be nice to see how the Maormer live when they aren't invading or plundering.

I added Nope, but it comes with an explanation.

Surely exploring new areas and continents are cool, but not before the current map of Tamriel has been explored/exposed fully!!!

Pyandonea could be interesting. There are a lot of Sea Elf assets already to be found in High Isle and Galen, so it wouldn't be difficult to expand on that and make a series of islands for us to explore. All you'd need is some competent writers to create a story.

I have always wanted to visit Atmora, but after "The Great Frost" that made it completely unlivable, it is now so cold that only Sea Giants can live anywhere near it. The last ships of Atmorans that arrived on the shores of Skyrim were filled with frozen humans, so even If we could safely navigate through the sea ice, we'd need to possess supernatural protection from the cold once we got there.

Akavir is an interesting choice. We already have lore about the races that live there and a basic description of at least the western geography where the Empire landed and established two cities. We could start there. I can see us visiting some day when we've exhausted all the potential zones in Tamriel.

Yokuda likely doesn't exist anymore aside from a few small islands. According to legend, most of Yokuda was destroyed in a cataclysm and then sunk beneath the ocean. This corresponds with the final Ra Gada migration, and there have been no migrations since, probably because the place they were coming from is at the bottom of the sea.

I'd really like to go to any continent that gets attention to details, and is filled out nicely instead of looking empty. And a big favorite for me is always a place full of fantastical plantlife! Still wish that the forests of valenwood had been a bit more ethereal and spectacular fantasylike, though it is a nice set of zones.
One of my favorite zones is the lush, vibrant Summerset. I like just roaming there, enjoying exploring the place and seeing an interesting landscape. Elsweyr, though not as lush is also nice because it's full of stuff, whereas blackmarsh and western skyrim+markarth look so empty, and I hate what they did to the frozen coast where everthing turns blue :( Loved that northern coast in skyrim and miss more of that feeling.

    Zenimax owns Bethesda.

Zos refers to zenimax online studios. They are a brand new company made just for ESO. Zenimax media is the top parent company that owns Bethesda. Bethesda also does not work with ESO. Completely separate

    Akavir or Pyandonea.

From the results it's pretty clear that most people would rather somewhere else other than Tamriel.

Yokuda is destroyed and Atmora is a frozen wasteland. I would only want to go to Yokuda if it was on the way to going to Akavir or Thras.

    inb4 representative example argument.

    Im all for atmora,
I didnt bother choosing akavir as the way i understand it, Todd Howard has strictly forbidden visiting Akavir and has strict rules regarding anything else akaviri in general.
But i think if ESO ever does go to another continent, it will most likely be pyanodea as there is a lot of maomer presence already in game. Yokuda is beneath the ocean last a remember, but regardless redguards are my least favorite culture/race/lore/history in game. Michaels Kirkbride’s comments regarding the redguards and his reasons for writing them in game are plain and simple racist.

They do, however, share resources, such as the writing, to make sure they are on the same page so far as lore events go. Todd Howard, lead game designer for Bethesda Studios for example, can state that Elder Scrolls Online may not explore the idea of what happened to the Dwemer (i.e. whether it was the Black Heart, Heart of Lorkhan, both, or some other thing that caused their disappearance).

If ZOS wants to go to a new continent, they need his permission.

If he wants ZOS to go to a new place, he needs to plan it and be on the same page.

There's so much lore that needs to be created and potentially different names and faces for the daedric entities that we know in tamriel, and maybe different power altogether.

I have always seen Yokuda on player created maps as islands with most of the land mass under water. I am not as familiar with all of Redguard lore so I assumed there was sonething I did not know, like it "sank" but did not sink all the way.

As for the Todd Howard comments, Todd is a producer at Bethesda. He has great sway as at some point ESO was going to explore the Dwemer but Todd steered them away from it. Akavir, though we know some of it, is still mysterious and he wants to keep it that way. It seems Todd has always had the mantra "There is plenty to do here. Keep the mysterious lands mysterious."

In spite of that, Todd Howard is not a boss of ESO in any way.

I would like to go outside of Tamriel, and see new lore created for ESO. I voted Pyandonea because we've already seen a lot of Maormer in the quests, both in base game and Summerset, so I think it would be the easiest choice, but convenience aside, I'd also like to visit Akavir.

Atmora was turned into a frozen unlivable hellscape, would be as rich as visiting the north pole's ice sheet

Yokuda has been entirely destroyed and just a few islands is all thats left of it

Pyandonea, sea elves are more racist than nords and would kill on sight anyone without a second thought no matter the reason one may come to it

Akavir may be the only visitable continent
