Shrieking Cheese and Bastian

I wouldn't want to terrorize poor Bastian with the double horror of a shrieking cheese, but it'd be great if as new companions come out, they also update the older ones with custom emotes and such.

I might be scared of cheese if it shrieked and I really like cheese.

Yeah...but its obviously the shrieking thats the issue, rather than it being cheese . I think most people would be somewhat confused by a randomly shouting food item.

I do wish the writers at Zos would stop throwing "ha ha cheese" items into the game as if its the most hilarious thing ever. Talk about having one joke.

It's a Sheogorath trope/lore from the TES games and I don't personally mind a little fan service. That being said the cheese fan service may be wearing a bit thin after 8 years for some people so I get your position.

Why? He'd likely react to a screaming food item the same as most people would. Divines, this forum and their almost obsession with Bastian and cheese. Leave the poor man alone and find a different joke.

This does not have to do with cheese but I'd like companions to sit when I do if an environmental seat is available nearby. IE: IF I sit on a bench, they sit next to me. If I sit in a chair, they sit in one if it is unoccupied and nearby. Any player trying to sit where they are sitting would make them get back up.
Just would be a nice touch.

and frankly it's less because of the "food preference" and more just because he was an irritating companion to lug around, but he made a better tank than Mirri (who would go invis and lose aggro as one of her "tanking" moves) , so it's what we suffered through for a year before we got much more pleasant company in Isobel.

This leaves Bastian relegated to not being used, and meaning he's free to be tormented in Oblivion in the notable house I had no plans of doing anything with until this idea came up.

Otherwise that house would just be storage.

This was a more entertaining use for it.

but anyway, I'd just like more lively companions that don't just stand around in idle pose or just be set on paths, and I realize the only way to feasibly do that is scripts scripts that would need some sort of prompt

Kinda like how they're scripted to use certain voice lines in certain situations, like Bastian's endlessly irritating "some give gifts, others rob you blind" "quip" that you dealt with every single time you entered a town.

People do worse stuff in Sims etc. That's why games are popular with general audience, you can do whatever in them and not everyone should know about your Pikachu cosplay on a pink mount in seriously medieval styled RPG game.

Destroying Bastian is a common theme for some reason (I dislike companions equally lol) and seriously it's at least more of a joke than someone seriously going about how they hate and despise and wanna kill families of designer and so on lmao.

P.s. Cheese prison is also pretty lore friendly...

I like Bastian, but it would be pretty funny if he made a quip about this emote.

I see my eyerolling shall continue. Maybe shall change up the joke a bit and surround Mirri with butterflies and kill them repeatedly because ha ha so funny, she dislikes people killing cute bugs. Or put Ember in a box and force her to fish forever etc. Then do this "joke" repeatedly for over a year.

Or I can just use and spend time with a companion I like or not use one at all and ignore them.
