Which is the better traits for jewellery.
Infused with wep or spell dam glyphs, or bloodthirsty?
Or a mix of both?

Bloodthirsty is better dps, not to mention most mechanics happen towards the end of the fight vs the beginning. Some people will do 1 infused and 2 blood thirsty for a balance though.

OK so doing a bit of looking online, seems it looks like infused is better for trash mobs where it has initial higher damage where bloodthirsty is better for bosses increasing damage as it gets closer to dying.

So yeah, probably gonna go 2 infused 1 bloodthirsty as I am not using it for group content.

You should take in consideration, that you will spend more time in boss fight than trash fight in most trials (probably in all). Mini trials (CR and AS) have zero or next to zero trash fight.

why not have infused for trash and bloodthirsty for boss fights?

if you are on PC you can do this with the press of a button.

(Infused is also good for some pvp gank builds.)

Unfortunately I am (now) on console. I used to have the change gear add on on PC and this was from day one. Now on console the best we can do is they just released a summonable NPC that can use the armory system and switch your builds.........for crap loads of crowns
(I refuse to buy crowns, I slowly gain them with ESO plus, but I don't want to waste 5k crowns on that crap)

Also I don't have 2 of the set of jewellery to switch up.

Anyway I asked the question simply because I am making an overland build, not trial meta or dungeon build so 2 infused, 1 bloodthirsty seems to be the better choice for what I am going for.

The info about Infused for trash is outdated. This was needed back when Bloodthirsty gave no bonus until the enemy was below 25% health. For weak trash you may only hit them 3 times (at 100%, 65% and 30% for example) and the trait would be wasted.

That is no longer true, and Bloodthirsty begins scaling up damage when enemies drop below 90% health, ramping up until they are dead. It works fine on trash and bosses.

The main reason to go Infused is if you have a large multiplier on weapon/spell damage. Bloodthirsty is unaffected by multipliers, and averages out to around 157 per gold jewelry piece. Infused begins at 60% of 174 or 104. Technically this means the break even point is 1.51X multiplier.

In practice, only a few builds hit that multipler. Stam sorc for example starts at 1.3X with Major/Minor Brutality, then typically gets about 4-8% from slotting Sorcerer skills (crystal, pet(s), prey, armaments) and another 3-12% from Fighter's Guild (Dawnbreaker, trap, camo, silver shards). They also get 12% from wearing 6 medium armor. Adding that all up it is common to see multipliers over 1.5X.

Other medium armor builds can do similar things, and Templar has a class passive for 6% that can compete with Sorc. They need to balance this plan against Bloodthirsty buffing their high-damage execute phase though. Similar story for Necro and Nightblade, both have damage spikes at the end of the fight making Bloodthirsty useful even if their damage multiplier is near that 1.51X. Sorcs are an easy decision because their damage is front-loaded anyway.

Edit: Adding that there is no reason to mix 1-2 BT with 1-2 Infused these days. That was also a carryover from when BT was multiplicative instead of adding flat damage. Now you are better off going all 3 the same, into whichever option is best for your particular build.

I prefer 3x Infused. It's more consistent performance and it buffs your healing as well as your damage.
