Never heard of cottagecore before. Is this a new musical subgenre?

Also why is there a random shoulderpad on this thing. Makes it feel more like a discared motif/style than a costume (which seems to be common lately with costumes)
I was slightly looking forward to this costume because it was simple and one of the few gambeson looking things we have, which is weird.

I want some cottagecore for lounging about the house in real life.
Get me some quilted cotton and a mug of nice warm cocoa... mmmhmmm....

I really wish the color of the front of the pants was linked to the color of the back of the pants instead of being linked to the shirt. That way, there could be a contrast between the two without looking...odd. Way too many outfits have the shirt and the pants linked together, making it so you can't create a nice contrast. But this half and half decision is by far the strangest.
I really do like the costume though. I'd love if it had been an actual motif as well, I enjoy the look of it but wish I could pair the top with a few different things.

Not sure I'd call it odd... more unique for all those people that have been waiting so long to have the front of they're pants a different color than the back! The glass is half full crowd!

Thatβs the shoulder upon which we peasants carry our burden of shame and failure. And our butter churns.

or in our case, the Vestige rests the burden of their stupidity and obliviousness. It needs extra padding for it's a large thing.
