hm... was definitely fixed on the NA server a couple hours ago. Everyone was able to get crates and they were spawning really fast.

You would figure with new launch that spawn rates would be cranked way up for resources and quest items to establish an economy and serve the massive influx of new players....

Logged out last night on top of one of the broken crates. Log in this morning while the EU servers are relatively quiet.

Still no luck... and still no word on when this issue will be addressed

Still bugged. Exact same bug the game had in the last two beta tests. It is an extremely annoying issue since it blocks progress for the main quest for the Daggerfall Covenant.

During the beta, it took them 24 hours to respond to this issue. It should have been resolved during beta, but perhaps they were too busy refining content for the other areas. In reality, a heavy server load and a busy area could affect spawn rates, but not to the degree that it breaks the quest. At most, I have seen maybe ten to fifteen people running around looking for the crates. So, it should work.

being locked at a lvl 7 quest for the whole early acces would upset me... I feel a bit mocked : "you bought it, support does not matter anymore" ...

There is no reason you cannot skip the quest and go do other quests outside the city. This quest only blocks progression for that specific line, go do something else, and check back every once in awhile to see if anything is spawning.

Just frustrating to have a quest blocked, i seem that it's a well known issue and still not fixed despite the fact that the game is released... I read something like "lots of quest bug fixed" in the patchnote but one of the very first is not ... I'm afraid of what I could find later...

Well, yes. Still, it's a bit annoying to have the main quest for Daggerfall blocked if you have the desire to really finish areas

still broken for me. The quest is now green to me, i'm on my 4th attempt at it. I'm the only one running around the Lydia ship right now and i've logged out / in 4 times, each time the chests will respawn with junk, but no assassins. I have to admit, this is getting really old really fast

I logged off and on several time and tried both last night and early this morning. still no crates. any other suggestions? also is there an official thread/way to report bugs? I see a lot of posts about them but I haven't seen any official ESO team responses.

When doing the beta, I never had an issue with this quest spawning. When I went to do since quest yesterday it was completely bugged. I got to the point I moved on to another quest. I got lucky that I was in the area for another quest and decided just to see if was working, and it was.

I had the same thing happen with having to collect the motes on another quest; there was no problems at all on the beta but would not work here and got lucky again.

Hey folks! Thanks for the reports on this. We're happy to say that this quest should be fixed in a future patch that we hope to roll out to you soon. In the meantime, if you're still stuck and unable to progress with this quest, you could try relogging and see if that temporarily helps.

So...I guess I can see the frustration with the quests, as we experienced it too, but I guess that I wouldn't call it bugged, just a pain in the butt.

I am unsure of the current state of this quest post maintenence, but what you were experiencing was not the bug. You lucked into an unbugged phase. When the phase is bugged, the crates never respawn. You could stand in front of one for 3 hours with no one else there and it would never spawn.

I'm playing in EU server and during the Beta there was no crates to be seen, but today after the sudden maintenance break when I tried to do the quest, there were several crates and those were even re-spawning quite fast. I opened 6 crates and from those found only one assasin, but that re-spawned in few seconds.

It was working. Then I think the server hit its Assassin to Crate quota for the day.

Nothing. Tried relogging multiple times next to each crate, because someone said it worked for him... There are no crates at all.
You just can see their bottoms.
