Triune Trait

Since I haven't done any PVP at all I expected to be waiting a very long time before getting anything with this trait to research. Then, this week, while doing a random High Isle side quest the reward was a ring with this trait. A very pleasant surprise. So, I was wondering if there is a necklace out there that can be easily obtained by a quest with this trait too. i.e. without going to the PVP area where I would no doubt die immediately. I tried googling but everything keeps directing me to the PVP area.

You don't get triune jewellery from doing PvP, just the trait material is (more or less) PvP-sourced. I can't remember if you can get more than one triune jewellery piece per character as quest reward, but there should be plenty of offers at guild stores. Just buy one or ask someone to craft you a necklace. It'll set you back some gold because the trait material is relatively expensive, but it's not hard to get.

If something drops in a reward container it will be in a guild store.

In fact, that is how i got both of my Triune traits was purchases.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Thanks. I had already seen the prices. I will have to add it to the list of things I am saving for.

I must have misunderstood what this meant:

Researchable from exemplary items obtained by completing conquest board dailies in Cyrodiil.

I assumed that meant to get one without paying through the guild store that I would have to go and do dailies in the PVP area. Then, like I said, I got a ring with that trait from a random side quest in High Isle.

Wait, that might actually be true. While I do a lot of PvP, I havn't done these quests in years.

Interesting if you got a ring with triune trait from a pve quest. I have not encountered that before that I know of. I have done a lot of quests in the game too.

I do get triune rings and necklaces from the Conquest Board dailies and put them in the guild traders, but haven’t got many lately. Swimming in swift pieces right now that won’t sell even at cheap prices.

I hadn't encountered it before either. Took me by surprise and I almost disconstructed it by mistake. In fact, if it wasn't for a goof earlier in the day, where I had accidentally marked the show bank items box and inadvertently disconstructed several clothing items I had saved to research traits for (something I am still kicking myself over!) I may not have noticed at all.

I was kind of hoping someone would reply to say oh yeah, this quest gives you that trait or there is a resource site that lists stuff like this, but I guess not.

the gladiator quest in cyro can occasionally also give the triune research-only jewelry, however to what the OP was saying is that they have been including triune in non-pvp content (mainly quest rewards)

personally i really dislike how the entire jewelry crafting was done (the traits sourced from specific places, unrefined versions of both tempers and trait mats which further drives up prices)

There's another triune ring available from a quest in the deadlands, and a swift ring from a quest in Northern Elsweyr. Other than those, nothing else comes to mind that has changed from when jewelry crafting and the additional traits were launched. (specifically addressing sources for swift/triune/harmony/bloodthirsty/infused/protective jewelry).

I haven't researched most of those traits yet. Done infused and protective I think, the ones from psjic portals and the Summerset and Psjic quest lines. Bloodthirsty I am making a half-hearted attempt to get a second ring of the pale order to research, but the thought of hunting treasure chests in Bangkorai is putting me off. It was bad enough the first time!

Swift is particularly frustrating for me as it is from jewellery writs. Which would be great if all the writs it keeps giving me didn't require me to have researched 8 or 9 jewellery traits to complete them. I need writs I can actually do to get enough vouchers to buy another storage crate just to store all the writs I can't do, more than half of which are for jewellery.

Thanks for the heads up on the quest for the swift ring. I will definitely have to go track that one down.

The quest is in north central N. Elsweyr. Ashen scar I think is the area, Vastarie is the quest giver. It's a bit of a series though.
The exemplary swift jewelry drops as a rare reward from daily jewelry writs, not the master writs (I'm not sure of your meaning there).
For a swift necklace, if you have writ vouchers just buy a gilding wax and find someone who can make it. I never mind making research items when I'm not busy as long as they supply any rare trait items.

Ah, sorry, I was being a typical thick newb there and was thinking the ring came from master writs rather than regular writs.

And in response to xilfxlegion, thanks but I am on PC not Xbox.

Don't Psijic Portals sometimes drop jewelry from a zone? Specifically, I'm wondering whether Psijic Portals in Cyrodiil have a small chance to drop Triune jewelry. I was able to research the trait on both rings and necklaces, and I don't think I bought a ring or necklace to research-- although I might have and forgot, since it's been so long since I learned the trait.

Was it an exemplary ring? If so, these cannot get deconstructed iirc, so don't worry about that. Like someone said, you can buy them from traders as well (and you can peruse the Tamriel Trading website to look for low prices, since you are on PC, it's very helpful instead of going around kiosks looking), or you can buy the dawn-prism stone that is sued for the triune trait, again from traders, and a crafter friend can make you a necklace tor research.

psijic portals pretty sure drop that +armor trait, or infused, i dont remember exactly, but each jewelry trait mat comes from a very specific source

the triune "research" jewelry has a chance to drop from the gladiator quests in cyrodiil, and the triune trait mat is bought at the vendor for 100k ap each

pretty sure most jewelry only drops in one of the 3 basic traits unless its one of those "research" ones that come from the specific source

really wish they would simplify jewelry crafting (allow any jewelry drops to be any trait, remove "unrefined" trait/tempers)

that change was permanent? i thought it was only that low because of an event that was going on at the time (i also dont go to buy them all the time so i dont regularly keep up with their price lol)

No, it was not an exemplary ring. It was just a ring from a High Isle quest and it appeared on my deconstruct choices page. I clicked it before I realised there was a little magnifying glass there. Quickly unclicked it and went to see what it was.

The quest is from High Isle. Quest giver is just by the Brokerock Wayshrine on Amenos. Meryline Barthel, who, if you have not done the quest, is talking to themselves about should have waited for an escort. The quest is A Father's Pride. According to a wiki that I look up stuff on the ring from the quest is always one with the triune trait. It is listed on the page under the rewards.

Oh and you are right about exemplary rings being unable to be deconstructed. I wish they could as I would rather have the potential grains from the mats than 500 gold.

    Yes it's permanent.
Why? Maybe ZOS tried to make triune's jewelry master writs somewhat more appealing. Or to help new players. I'm not sure.
But even at 25K AP, I just keep destroying every single triune jewelry master writ I get.
They're not worth doing at all.
