Kmolag Kills Konstantly

Ususally PVE content is is bit predictable...I will kill that boss.
Kmolag...this guy burns me to a crisp almost every time!
He has a one hit that does 30K on me. with my 31k, I am out of time to cast a heal and take a pot before getting it again...
Or do I have to be in a group?

Is there any protection from fire?

I am not familiar with Kmolag, but there are a number of other situations where a boss can one-shot the player just because a specific situation triggered. E.g the Vessel of the Auditor in Rkindaleft (Wrothgar) which unleashes if you stay in melee range too long. Not the best fight for a tank. There is probably a similar “avoid this” for Kmolag. Which of his attacks gets you? They all seem to be fire-related, so that was no clue.
It could also be “unless interrupted”, so maybe you just miss the telegraph?

@ghastley you are likely correct, I am missing the interrupt.

It is those 4 cones that go around him - I have to get far away. Then there is this ultimate...bam done.
Seems like I have to stay close to him to avoid the cones....but...death ensues...

Will keep trying.

No, not far, get close, and then just walk around him in the gaps until it stops. Works every time.
