Is there anyone who wants to get a survival mode in eso like in skyrim?

Not for me, thanks. ESO is plenty chore-intensive already. Eating every couple hours, checking/repairing gear, keeping the pantry stocked for cooking, earning gold. Though I am a soloist, I suspect survival mode would not fare well with groups and PvP. :)
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

I really don't see how an immersive survival mode could be implemented in ESO without being able to alter the passage of time and that's a big no-no in any MMO.

    I have it already.
It is called "farm worlbosses on xbox EU".

You don't have other players who do the same as on xbox NA, but usually must solo them.
Xbox EU, the real challenge - nothing for snowflakes :D

No thank you. That sort of thing is never anything I find fun or interesting.

This would only work in the open world and could be disabled or enabled. Quite a good thing. If you don't like it you can just turn it off. And it was always disabled in pvp and dungeons. I think a lot of players would love it.

ESO is not Skyrim - different genres entirely.

An MMO that is designed as a survival game could work just fine I'm sure, but adding a different genre to this game like that would be no different to someone suggesting 'hey, let's add a sports game to the mix where your character is now a professional sports player and has to play matches weekly.

RPG and MMORPG can share a lot of traits, but are 100% different genres - like asking can they add a diablo mode to Tears of the Kingdom.

Not for me either. I don't even have it on in Skyrim.

Say it not to me, but to zos. They also added a card game. So all your statements are like an egg on a stone ...

What kind of things would you want to see in a survival mode in ESO?

    I think it's a great idea

Pretty pointless, because for most people, open world is far too easy to be a challenge, regardless of level. And those people who are struggling with open world content are usually not the type of player who are looking for such a challenge.

Maybe ZOS should think about certain achievements or titles that are linked to not dying. Something like "The Immortal" if you manage to get to 50 without dying. LOTRO had a similar thing iirc.

My main is a Vampire, we already have a survival system, maybe mortals need a hunger system as well, seems only fair.

It’s a nice idea for role play and PVE, but in the “real world”, there are already survival mode options:

    - play as Nord vampire using magicka to experience constraints: a most realist survival mode. This one got so fed up, Sammy asked Isobel to take the Nord to the nearest temple for treatment).

    - Reduced carry weight: cancel your ESO+ sub :D

Sammy is not against an optional survival mode, but there has to be incentives for uptake….

I don't see a survival mode being popular enough to justify the budget expenditures required to develop it. If you want that you can play the single player TES or Fallout games.

How would you implement it? I'm not for or against it until I know more about what you're proposing. Generally though I'm not against optional features or activities I'm not forced to participate in. So if it was optional like PvP than sure why not?

No thanks never used it in Skyrim and after looking at how it actually changes the way you play Skyrim, still no plans to use it.

Unless they had some way to make a decent amount of money out of it I don't think ZOS would put in the effort to add it to the game.

I enjoy it in Skyrim but ESO is a lot bigger and I wouldn't want to have to travel overland to my houses, so I wouldn't use it.

How does survival mode work in Skyrim?

My first guess based on the title was something like the 'perma-death' or 'hard mode' challenges players run in some games where if the character dies you have to delete them, but from the comments it sounds more like you have to make sure you keep a food buff on. What would happen if you don't? (Considering a recent poll said most players use food or drinks the majority of the time I'm not sure that would make a big difference.)

What other restrictions would there be?

With tons of bugs and lags we already survive best we can.

15% of exp gamers leave after U35, so in terms of survival game - they did not ;)

what do you mean by survival mode?

you want to survive in the wilderness and eat food?

you want to fight hordes of zombies?

you want to lose all your progress on one death?

    what does this even mean?

One big difference in Skyrim survival mode is no automatic health regen outside of battle. The only way to recover health is via magic, potions or food. You also have to sleep in an actual bed when you're tired, otherwise eventually you can die of exhaustion but before that your stamina and magic will start depleting to almost nothing. Hunger works similarly, you can starve to death but you'll get really weak from loss of stamina first. There are various other differences, but one that I found interesting is that you can freeze to death. Which I almost did on my way up to High Hrothgar. Hot food, campfires, and traveling during the day can combat the cold. Fast travel is disabled, but you can still pay for a trip by wagon. I think that covers the major points.

Conan Exiles had a similar mech with the weather. To travel to the volcano you would need clothing and/or food to combat the cold. Once inside it was the opposite and you needed to stay cool.

I liked it. I thought that it made it a little more engaging. Im not sure that I would be all that fond of similar mechs in ESO, but Im not against them either.

As this one mentioned earlier, there has to be some form of incentives for players to take up the survival mode….
