Dark Anchor "unique" drops

Since I'm going about collecting all the unique boss items in the base game, I learned that the Generals that sometimes spawn at the end of Dolmens have, or had their own drops. However some sources are saying they do, while others claim they were discontinued for whatever reason. Can anyone confirm either statement for sure? Maybe get official word from the devs or something? If they were discontinued, it'd be nice to know why, as well. Seems a bit unnecessary if they were already in the game to start with.

Looking back at old threads, it seems that when they changed things so that any dolmen boss could spawn at any dolmen (as opposed to them having particular places to find them), the unique loot went away. And this was in 2018 or earlier, since there's a thread asking about it on Reddit in Feb 18.

(only one I personally have is the Encasement of Anguish seducer chest armor. Which really needs to become a style/motif so I can retire this thing. )

That does make sense I suppose, they can't make items both unique and adaptable to any zone. I suppose they could fix it by making them all Coldharbor sets. Maybe even Cyro or IC sets for those who don't like PVP zones.

They definitely do not drop anymore and have not since One Tamriel.

Some of the pieces are uniquely named but just use base game styles, like a Nord staff or a Redguard jack.

At least one of the unique weapon styles is now available as an outfit style, though: Volar’s Crescent Dagger is Abnur Tharn’s dagger.

I don't care what style they are. They're unique, they aren't guaranteed drops, I wanted them. I nearly have the complete lot from all the other delve, WB and dungeon bosses up to IC (when they rudely decided to stop including them).

No need to be rude to other players because ZOS removed drops you wanted. Best of luck with your search.

There used to be quite a few unique weapons and armor via dolmens that have not been included as styles yet. The Encasement of Anguish had a helm and chest appearance that was from the dark seducer costume. Yes there is the costume, but you cant take the chest from the costume, dye it separately, and wear it separately with other armor pieces... Then there is the Bestial Rampart chest piece, Ozozzachar Tooth and Claw, as well as some other unique weapons and styles.

All of these are no longer available in the game, and ceased dropping after One Tamriel. A shame too. I'd do dolmens more often if they did still drop. But this isnt the first time this has happened. The unique weapon Trueflame was available in the game via fishing in Stonefalls for a short time after the game launched. It is now unavailable. Then there was the Lord's Mail Set which was the Golden Saint costume in armor style form. That one had all the costume pieces as armor pieces which meant they could all individually be dyed and placed on and is also now unavailable to get in the game now.
