I would have thought this goes without saying, ZOS, but if the update you're about to push to live contains game breaking bugs and disables addons and features that it was intended to implement...DON'T PUBLISH IT!
It is incredibly frustrating that half of the updates we've gotten this year have been absolute disasters. What is going on at ZOS HQ? Did the Dev team walk out? It's not just that you post broken patches, you post broken patches where the exact features you're trying to add to the game don't work (i.e. hiding pets causing crashes). I do not understand how a multi-million dollar company struggles with this. In the Firesong PTS patch the DK bug was known about, the encounter-log bug was known about, the block bug was known about, and yet the patch went live.
DELAY YOUR UPDATES IF THEY'RE BROKEN! I promise there will be less pissed off players who will feel more like y'all give a damn about this game if you say "hey, we have to delay the release of U36 because of some bugs we're fixing" rather than force it through, take the server down for maintenance multiple times after the initial patch, and ultimately hit us with a "well we're working on fixing all these bugs that have made aspects of the game borderline unplayable. You'll hear from us...maybe...maybe not." I don't think I need to point out how disrespectful that is to the player base.
It's also no secret that most of these bugs are PvE related (no logging, DK bug [since fixed], block bug,). We get it, it has been painfully obvious for the last year or more that you do not care AT ALL about the end game PvE community, but WE do care about this game. It would be nice to feel some semblance of appreciation for that.
Please just...stop forcing updates that are broken and full of bugs. Take the required amount of time to get them right (or mostly right, its game dev, of course it won't be perfect), rather than whatever these half baked attempts have been that leave the player base confused and frustrated.
It is unacceptable for a company of your size working on a game of this size to have such poor quality control and standards.
