Event ended earlier than expected

The event ended an hour earlier than expected and a lot of people are very surprised by this, myself included. Today's tickets lost on EU but it's no biggie, but still a bit of a bummer as I was making a few new characters to load an XP buff onto. :)

Didn't it end at 10am EDT? That was when it was expected to end.

(I was going through my character list, logging each one in one more time to refresh the whistle, right up until 9:59am.)

It's ended at 16:00 CET every year I've been in it, as have all other events in the years I've been playing :)

Tamriel doesn't observe this summer/winter time malarkey.

      Tamriel is wise.

Probably because Europe already had their DST time change and the US doesn't have the time shift until the upcoming weekend, so reset times are "off" an hour I bet.

All events end at 10am Eastern Time on their last day, and the article for this specific event (posted on October 13), states that the end-time was to be 10am EDT today. Which is what happened.

That makes it make sense in that case, sad however for those of us who had some plans for these last hours of the event, but there will come more chances for xp buffs and tickets so no biggie I guess =)

Yeah same, official website said 3PM BST, which would be now 2PM GMT in Uk as daylight savings clock went back. I though i would wait until after maintenance, log on, grab last 2 tickets and get all my alts with a 2 hour buff but noooo. Logged on, event has ended.

Where are you seeing 3pm BST? The article states it would end at 2pm GMT but if it says otherwise somewhere else, would love to know so we can make a note of it. Thanks!

Sorry for my country's weird obsession and schedule (which makes the date it happens fluctuate each year) for messing around with the time.)

Another sad example of "Daylight Screw Me Up Time", in this case, the international version...

I am sorry, but you're misremembering. All events in ESO start and end at 2pm UTC.

If Europe is in daylight savings, you're in the CEST time zone (UTC+2) and the end time is 16:00. But if it is out of daylight savings, then you're in the CET time zone (UTC+1), and the end time is 15:00.

Europe left daylight savings on Sunday morning, meaning that you reverted to CET.

P.S. Please don't think that I'm unsympathetic about your confusion and lost tickets/EXP boost!

Let’s be very clear here. For majority of players the event ended with the bad patch download a day early…so technically yes it ended early than expected.
