How many people still persistently crashing are playing on Steam?

And what about the people who aren't crashing now (after disabling the Nodedetection library)?
Steam, or stand-alone launcher?

(Stand-alone launcher here, no crashes since disabling the Nodedetection library.)

Didn't have that Library, turned off my less needed addons just incase, no crashes (yet), stand alone launcher.

Additional info played around 6hrs yesterday and so far 2hrs today, not visited new zone yet. :)

I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

Steam. But I do not think game crushing is based on it.

But ESO+ can just dissapear if you play on steam, it looks like some player had problem that game do not see some their steam data. But may be I am wrong.

I'm on Steam and everything is perfect, as usual.

As said many times, it's a mystery to me how the experience with Steam can be for some so good and for others so bad. I would really love to know what root cause(s) explain(s) such huge differences. :|

I'm not crashing, and I play exclusively through Steam.

I did get booted back to the character selection screen yesterday, and when I reloaded my character I'd been set back about 1 or 2 minutes, but I have not crashed to desktop yesterday or today, and have not had any recurrences of the above issue.

I also got booted from the game a number of times last night with the "lost connection to server" error while trying to teleport to various houses instead of using the wayshrines, but I also have not had any recurrences of that issue today.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

I use Steam, but have never used addons, so have not had the crashing problem at all... so far.

I use both Steam and all my usual addons without any issues so far. Though I never used Harvest Map, I always preferred the less visually cluttered Tamriel Mapping Project.

It dates back to around 2018 when Steam really did cause major issues. It's been resolved years ago but the poor reputation can be a persistent thing. There also is the matter of Steam's browser causing memory leaks if it runs for too long in the background. There is a very simple solution to this though, I just run Steam from a shortcut with added -no-browser parameter and launch ESO from the tray icon instead of the library window.

I'm on Steam, but had zero crashes when the Update first dropped. The nonstop crashes are only happening since today's hotfix.

I use steam, and am persistently crashing since Firesong release. I've not been able to get to character select even once.

I just crashed again on a different character trying to enter the crafting building in Ganfalon Bay. Guess I'll take a two week break.

Once you're in the game it is exactly the same with or without steam. The launcher and game executable are exactly the same. Steam would only affect logging in and account purchase data for anything purchased through steam. Once you're past the login screen steam is no longer a factor in anything.

Using steam. No crashes last night. Now 3 in the first 20 minutes since hotfix. Crashes right to desktop without a crash report pop up.
