The Thanes of Sovngarde is a guild comprised of dedicated players. Our guild leader is in the United States military and understands that real life can be much more demanding than your game life. We are not here to tell you that you must log on every single day and play for hours grinding your characters and figuring out the absolute best stats for your class choice (although we do want you to know your class efficiently). Our goal, and mission is to be a small, close, and deadly group of individuals capable of being the spearhead of any assault. We are dedicated to poking holes in the enemies defenses no matter the size. This means that you must have faith in your leaders, listen closely to commands given, and stick to your role without falter. A four man group, that is well equipped, and communicating is better than thirty running around without a direction. Imagine ten, or twenty dedicated to this goal. The things that are possible is infinite. Our guild is meant for persons of the age 18 and over, as mature conversations and language will take place. When the guild is up and running and we have a good idea of how many people will be in our guild, we will get a ventrillo server as well. If you want a guild that is dedicated on learning everything there is to know about the game, but doesn’t demand that you’re available at all times, then we’re the guild for you. We want to be a guild with a PvP focus that also participates in all PvE content as well as a little role-playing and casual gaming. An ideal candidate for our guild would be someone who is:
18+
Mature
Willing to participate in guild chat as well as ventrillo chat
Is semi-active on website
Logs on at least 3 times weekly (not mandatory)
Respectful and courteous
Helps out guild members in anyway possible
We are going to be a multi-functional guild with a heavy emphasis on PvP and character progression, knowledge, and finesse. We want to also participate in guild economy, by providing our members with any and all resources needed to craft and make their way in Tamriel.
We have rules that we all follow, and that ensures that we all enjoy our online experience. Our guild is structured with our Leader (Konungr) our Officers (Jarls) Our “Sergeants” (Drengrs) Our members (Fri-hals) and our Newest members (Thralls) When you go to our guild website and apply, you’re officially an applicant (Svein) This is a temporary rank until you are accepted and promoted to Thrall. As our guild is partial role-play, you must listen give respect to the people who “out rank” you. Our leaders word is final and he will settle any disputes that take place. Every member has the opportunity to grow and rank up in our guild. Higher positions are granted to people who have invested time in the guild, be it chat server, guild chat, website forums etc…and are knowledgeable in both their class, and the game in general. The more time and knowledge you have, the quicker you will rank up. In order to be an officer you must have all of these things, plus the personality of a leader.
Finally, members of the Thanes are PAID members. That means once we start accumulating gold and riches, it will be distributed among members based on rank (for gold pieces). The only thing not given out based on rank is gear, because we want ALL of our members well equipped and ready for the fight no matter where they find themselves.
