Hi everyone,

We are currently tracking a number of game crashes on the PC megaservers since updating to patch v8.2.5 and will be using this thread to give you visibility on the most up-to-date status of these crashes.
  • Frequent crashes to desktop associated with addons/libraries
    • After updating the PC client with patch 8.2.5, you may experience frequent crashes straight to desktop with no error messages or crash reporters. Please ensure you disable your addons and libraries as a temporary workaround, particularly any addons that depend on the NodeDetection library.
    • For instructions on how to disable addons and libraries, please visit the following pages:
    • [UPDATED] This will be fixed in the next incremental patch, currently scheduled on November 14.
  • Game crashes to character select with minor rollbacks
    • We are currently tracking a crash that will send you to character select, and you may experience a slight rollback upon logging back in.
    • We applied a hotfix to address this issue on November 2.
  • Crash to desktop associated with hiding followers
    • We have seen some reports of players crashing to desktop when turning on the "hide followers in town" option near high-traffic areas. We recommend not using the "hide followers" option until the issue is fixed.
    • [UPDATED] This will be fixed in the next incremental patch, currently scheduled on November 14.
  • Crash to desktop before loading into the game
    • We're investigating an issue where you crash to desktop before loading into the game, with no error messages or crash reporters.
    • [UPDATED] This will be fixed in the next incremental patch, currently scheduled on November 14.
  • Crash when using /encounterlog
    • Currently, enabling /encounterlog will eventually cause your game to crash and are working on a fix. We suggest avoiding using this until we are able to implement a fix in a future incremental patch.
  • Other miscellaneous crashes
    • There are a number of smaller, miscellaneous game crashes that we are investigating. Please ensure you submit any details through the crash reporter, should you receive one.
