Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online v8.2.5 and the final DLC in this year’s Legacy of the Bretons adventure: Firesong! In this update, you can explore the island of Galen and dive deep into the culture and histories of Tamriel’s druids. While doing so, collect new item sets, unique collectibles, Antiquities, achievements, and more. You’ll also be able to discover a new Tales of Tribute Patron deck during your adventures through Firesong – The Druid King.

In the Update 36 base game patch, we’ve added a new Target Marker system that allows you to mark allies, enemies, and even yourself with a unique icon. There are also several Housing quality of life improvements, along with a new setting to hide pets around some of the more busy interaction stations in towns. For PvP, Emperor bonuses will now scale depending on how many home Keeps you own, and we’ve added Armory Stations in both Cyrodiil and Imperial City. This latest update is approximately 2.7GB in size. Thank you and enjoy!

    Firesong DLC Game Pack

    New Zone: Galen
Prepare to embark on a new adventure! In this update, you can travel to the northern most island of the Systres Archipelago – Galen – and uncover the secrets of the Druids and their connections to the Breton legacy!
    • You can enter the zone in one of the following ways:
      • Using the Wayshrine in the city of Vastyr Outskirts
      • Use the boat located in Daggerfall or Gonfalon Bay in High Isle
      • Traveling to a friend who is already in Galen
        • Once you have arrived in the island of Galen, seek Dhulef of the Mages Guild to get the first quest of the Main Story.
    • Firesong includes an exciting zone story, 2 new Delves, 2 powerful World Bosses, Volcanic Vent world events, and a wandering World Boss to test your skills.
    • Obtain new Item Sets found only in Firesong, as described below, and new Outfit and Housing rewards for completing select achievements and quest content throughout the zone.
    • Complete the zone stories in both High Isle and Firesong to unlock the year-ending questline and learn the truth behind the Ascendent Lord!

    New Item Sets
    • Overland
      • Light – Back-Alley Gourmand
        • 2 – Adds 657 Critical Chance
        • 3 – Adds 657 Critical Chance
        • 4 – Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
        • 5 – While you have a food buff active, your Critical Damage and Critical Healing is increased by 13%.
      • Medium – Phoenix Moth Theurge
        • 2 – Adds 129 Stamina Recovery
        • 3 – Adds 129 Stamina Recovery
        • 4 – Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
        • 5 – Healing yourself or an Ally grants the target Minor Courage and Minor Force for 10 seconds, increasing their Weapon and Spell Damage by 215 and their Critical Damage done by 10%. This effect can occur once every 12 seconds per target.
      • Heavy – Bastion of Draoife
        • 2 – Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
        • 3 – Adds 1206 Maximum Health
        • 4 – Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
        • 5 – Blocking an attack grants you a stack of Inflection for 10 seconds, up to 3 stacks max. You can gain up to 1 stack every 0.5 seconds. Increase your Magicka and Stamina Recovery by 106 per stack of Inflection.
    • Crafting
      • Chimera’s Rebuke
        • 2 – Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
        • 3 – Adds 1206 Maximum Health
        • 4 – Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
        • 5 – Gaining resources from a Fully Charge Heavy Attack also restores 2363 of the gained resource to the three allies nearest your target.
      • Old Growth Brewer
        • 2 – Adds 129 Stamina Recovery
        • 3 – Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
        • 4 – Adds 129 Health Recovery
        • 5 – After drinking a potion, gain 245 Magicka, Stamina, and Health Recovery for 45 seconds.
      • Claw of the Forest Wraith
        • 2 – Adds 657 Critical Chance
        • 3 – Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
        • 4 – Adds 657 Critical Chance
        • 5 – Adds 2037 Critical Chance to your Class abilities.
    • Mythic Items
      • Medium Chest – Faun’s Lark Cladding
        • If you continuously Sprint for 1 second, you gain the ability to pass through enemies. Enemies you pass through become Charmed for 4 seconds, removing their ability to attack or cast abilities as they move toward you. Charming an enemy this way restores 678 Stamina and Magicka to you and heals you for 678 Health. Charming an enemy removes you from Stealth.
      • Light Legs – Stormweaver’s Cavort
        • Adds 300 Magicka Recovery. Sprint, Roll Dodge, Bash, Break Free, Sneak, and Block now consume Magicka instead of Stamina. You cannot regain Magicka while Blocking, Sneaking, or Sprinting. You can gain Stamina while Blocking, Sneaking, or Sprinting.
      • Heavy Belt – Syrabane’s Ward
        • You cannot move while Bracing. While Bracing, you create a 12 meter zone of protection. Allies within the zone increase their Block Mitigation by 30% and their Health Recovery by 950.
          Developer Comment:
The Block Mitigation and Health Recovery only affects allies and not the set wearer. Use Shield Wall with this ability at your own risk as you won’t be able to move for the duration of the Ultimate.

New Patron Deck: The Druid King
With this update you’ll be able to discover a new Tales of Tribute Patron deck during your adventures through Firesong! The Druid King Patron rewards you for playing the right types of cards at the right time, and the order by which you play your cards is vital to ensure you get the best possible result.
    • You’ll unlock fragments of the Druid King Patron deck by completing a wide range of activities within the new zone of Galen, but note that in order the unlock the ability to play Tales of Tribute (and your new deck) you’ll still need access to the High Isle Chapter.
    • Several new achievements related to the Druid King patron deck can now be earned.
    • New clues to upgrade cards in the Druid King Patron deck can be discovered in Tribute Reward purses.

    New Collectibles & Dyes
    • The Firesong Obsidian Mask is available by earning the “Welcome to Galen” achievement.
    • The Draoife Old Growth Sigils Basin furnishing is available by completing the quest “A Heart Turned Black”.

We have a wide variety of new furnishings introduced in Galen, including, but not limited to:
    • A broad selection of new Galen-styled furnishing plans, which are obtained from pickpocketing, monsters, and containers across Galen.
    • We have taken a different approach to Home Goods in Galen and have combined inventories between the Gonfalon Bay and Vastyr vendors, Miruza in Gonfalon Bay, and Ormax Lemaitre in Vastyr. Both vendors sell all new Home Goods introduced in High Isle, and a few new furnishings introduced in Galen, which include sunflower clusters, some sea daffodils, and beech trees, along with a few others.
    • Various Galen achievement furnishings can be purchased from Idrenie Beren in Vastyr, including a pair of massive megalith hands and a volcanic lava spout, provided you have completed their associated achievements.
    • Crafting plans for five new Firesong Druidic style furnishings can be found very rarely by participating in Volcanic Vents in Galen.
    • New Tribute tapestries can be found for The Chimera and Forest Wraith from Tribute Reward purses.

    • Fixed an issue where some ticking Area of Effect abilities could delay or miss their first tick, or could apply their effects out of sync with their tick rates.
    • Fixed an issue where re-zoning could cause your character to load a different ability bar in some rare cases.
    • Fixed an issue where Break Free’s animation could fail to play in situations when your character would be stunned mid-animation with effects such as Time Stop.
    • Death recaps will no longer taunt you with the concept of bringing a friend or using the grouping tool for solo arenas such as Maelstrom Arena.
    • Fixed an issue where bashing could clear your Heavy Attack inputs.
    • Fixed an issue where you could become stuck Heavy Attacking indefinitely after roll dodging while inputting a Light Attack.
    • Fixed an issue where you could fail to receive the skill lines from purchasable options, including Werewolf or Vampire.

    Dragonknight
    • Ardent Flame
      • Shifting Standard: Fixed an issue that would cause the Ability Bar Timer to reset after recasting the ability to move it.

    Nightblade
    • Shadow
      • Path of Darkness: Fixed an issue with this ability and morphs’ Major Expedition where the visual effects could flicker and cause client performance issues.

    Templar
    • Dawn’s Wrath
      • Backlash: This ability and its morphs have been slightly reworked.
        • The final damage now deals a guaranteed amount of damage based on your highest offensive stats, rather than dealing damage based on the damage it took from you over the duration and with a cap based on your Weapon or Spell Damage.
        • The final damage deals approximately 10% more damage than the initial hit at base and increases up to an additional 200% to reach similar values of power seen before.
        • The final damage now takes more overall damage to reach, to make the payout less reliably reached in PvP scenarios.
        • These abilities are now once again limited to having one active at a time, to fix numerous exploits and bugs with the ability. This means if you cast the ability on another target while it is active, it will remove the previous cast.
          • Power of the Light (morph): Increased the duration of Minor Breach from this morph to 7-10 seconds, up from 6-9. This effect is also no longer tracked over the base ability with the Ability Timers option enabled, to help you keep track of the core ability instead.

    Warden
    • Animal Companions
      • Advanced Species: This passive now increases your Critical Damage done by 2/4%, rather than your Armor Penetration by 495/990.
        Developer Comment:
We’re shifting this passive’s focus away from raw damage and more into Critical damage, to help focus the class’s natural tendency to burst foes down. This change should also help bring up Light Armor focused Wardens, while toning down some of the power that their currently much stronger Medium Armor cousins have.
      • Feral Guardian: Fixed an issue where the bear from this Ultimate and its morphs could get stuck in a loop of trying to cast Crushing Swipe repeatedly until it perished or was crowd controlled. It was just trying to make you proud.
    • Green Balance
      • Healing Seed
        • Budding Seeds (morph): Fixed an issue where the final heal from this ability was centered on the caster, rather than the Area of Effect.
    • Winter’s Embrace
      • Arctic Wind
        • Arctic Blast (morph): Removed the target cap from the damage of this morph, as the damage is no longer tied to stunning enemies.
      • Glacial Presence: This passive now increases the damage done by your Chilled status effect based on a value determined by your highest offensive stats, rather than adding 10% Critical Damage and Healing to recently Chilled targets.
        Developer Comment:
It didn’t feel right having two passives that essentially did the same thing (between this and Advanced Species). As such, we're making Glacial Presence grant a bonus damage modifier that scales with your Offensive stats. This way, we don't need to worry too much about tankier builds getting a lot of power out of this passive, while helping the generic damage of the class go up when utilizing their kit and rewarding them even more if they are focused on Frost Damage as a whole. We're not too concerned about the potential Critical Healing loss here either since the requirement of an ally recently being Chilled was only applicable in PvP, where Warden healers specifically will be losing this small bit of power.
      • Piercing Cold: This passive now increases your damage done by 1/2% which increases to 6/12% while wielding an Ice Staff, rather than increasing your Magic and Frost Damage by 5/10%.
        Developer Comment:
This passive was creating issues with morph choices in the class, as Wardens have a healthy mix of damage types outside of Magic and Frost. Many morphs that are meant to focus on damage are either close to or even eclipsed by the more utility driven morphs that retain Magic Damage, and the lack of more DPS focused Ice Damage abilities (since they are predominantly made for tanks or utility) create a situation where this passive isn’t helping the unique identity of Ice Mages keep up with other play styles. By shifting the focus of the passive over to generic damage that contextually gets stronger for the audience the passive is made for, we hope to help bring that playstyle up a bit more.

    Weapon
    • Bow
      • Volley: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs only used your Weapon Critical, rather than dynamically scaling with whatever was higher.
    • Destruction Staff
      • Weakness to Elements: Increased the duration of this morph to 30 seconds at its final rank, up from 20.
        • Elemental Drain (morph): This morph now increases the duration to 60 seconds at its final rank, up from 23.
        • Elemental Susceptibility (morph):
          • This morph now applies each elemental status effect (Burning, Chilled, AND Concussed) every 6 seconds, rather than applying a random of the three every 6 seconds.
          • This morph no longer gains extended duration and now lasts 30 seconds, down from 60.
          • Fixed an issue where the status effects from this ability could fail to apply.
          • Increased the range to 35 meters at rank IV, up from 33 meters.
          Developer Comment:
We’re moving around some of the morph diversity here to reinforce use case and define the power of each. Since Elemental Drain focuses on being more of a pure debuff, the duration extension feels more appropriate there, while Elemental Susceptibility reinforces the offensive bonuses we added a few patches back.

    Alliance War
    • Assault
      • Vigor
        • Resolving Vigor (morph): Reduced the healing from this morph by approximately 10%.

    Racial
    • Khajiit
      • Robustness: This passive now increases your Health, Magicka, and Stamina Recovery by 90 at their final rank, rather than your Health Recovery by up to 100 and your Magicka and Stamina Recovery by up to 85.

    5cmj90zpvpxm.png
    Warfare
    • Occult Overload:
      • Reduced the damage per stage of this star to 1037, down from 2560.
      • This node now also applies a random status effect to enemies hit.
      • Added a cooldown of 1 second, to prevent cascading effects.
      • The damage no longer has a maximum target cap of 6.
      Developer Comment:
We’re toning down some of the burst damage of this effect, as well as its prevalence to operate like Vicious Death where it can cause cascading booms when you kill a large number of targets at the same time. The star doesn’t have enough drawbacks to justify the ease of access to instantly kill large groups of enemies, as well as being a bit overboard when used in tandem with other effects. To make up for this, though, we’re adding some more self-synergy to the effect where it will reward more booms back-to-back if you can manage to kill the affected targets within the time frame of the status applied, so it feels more controlled in risk reward situations rather than random.
