Severe & unusual ping spikes in BGs

Howdy

Experiencing ping fluctuation over the last two days on entering combat in battlegrounds (in excess of 1000). Stable outside the instance but wildly inconsistent within, appears to scale with numbers of bodies on screen. Spoken to various guildies and acquaintances and several have come across this issue, seems purely localised to bg instances but doesn't happen in every one.

I've tried
  • rebooting game/rig
  • flushing DNS
  • various speed tests (all fine)
  • checking TCP for package loss (0%)
  • Testing various in-game instances

PCNA server, pls send help :c
