Im not talking about the quality of homes but the amount of new ones, it feels like we have had the least so far of any years for the game and i have yet to see or hear of a new one with the upcoming dlc and that feels strange.

icould be wrong but im sure in the past we had a lot more new homes by now

In the past they did 2X new houses every quarter and an inn room with the chapter, so 9 in total. Also one of the houses was usually purchasable with gold or some free promotion.

2017 - Amaya Lake lodge could be bought with gold (600 slots)
2018 - Grand Psijic Villa was free during event (700 slots)
2018 - Alinor Crest Townhouse could be bought with gold (600 slots)
2019 - Hall of the Lunar Champion was free for completing each phase of the first year long adventure (700 slots)
2020 - Antiquarian's Alpine Gallery was free during event (600 slots)
2020 - Proudspire Manor could be bought with gold (600 slots)
2021 - Doomchar Plateau could be bought with event tickets during QA (700 slots)
2021 - Water's Edge could be bought with gold (600 slots)
    2022 - :'(

This year they added one with Q1 DLC and one large house with Q2 and an inn room, so 3 in total.

It does seem odd that we have had such slim pickings and i have yet to see a leaked house for the final part.
honeslty it has made me play so little suring downtime of the game i am rarly on it anymore.

i wonder why they have not done as many this year?

Some slow down is reasonable, the number of zones are limited.

But 1 new house in entire year's new content in two zones? That isn't good.

Correct. There would be a new house ordinarily by now, but perhaps take this as sign of the development capacity in the background - a canary in the mine, so to speak, of where the game is currently at.

Correction: In 2017 we also got the Ald Velothi Harbor House. 400 slots, could be bought with gold.

One of the things that makes the lack of new homes more frustrating for me at least is they all seem to be in the same place, that limits the value to me.

With High Isle I would have liked a medium sized valley home with a beach, and a little stream like the one Isobel's druid mentor has in her quest.

Castle Monard would also make a really nice castle home, it has a great balance of rooms and open spaces.

I liked Water's Edge, but it felt silly to me to get that while I had the Inn Room in the same town. Same with the Summerset Inn Room and house.
