Does Long Shots Affect Bow Heavy Attacks?

The long shots passive says it gives up to 12% more damage to bow abilites and in uesp build editor it applies the 12% to heavies

Does anyone with a bow build know if heavy attacks do more damage from range?

Not currently playing the game. Looking to return if can find heavy attacks worthwhile

Tested it on a dummy with white quality no enchant bow while wearing nothing else. While standing right next to dummy the damage of fully charged heavy attack was 2776 and while at range it was 3109 and it is exactly twelve percent damage increase. While testing there were no Hawk Eye passive was present.
