Firescourge Band drop rate

So as I'm filing up a ticket to send to ZOS about the lead: Firescourge Band not dropping for me after so long (Yes I'm starting back up because I genuinely do need this ring for my builds)... I can't help but feel that ZOS is slapping me in the face because the game won't give it to me for some unknown reason..



But this is clearly an unacceptable response from ZOS... YES, YOU do have control... you just need to increase the drop rate so people can actually complete their builds instead of wasting time having to grind this lead from doing boring dailies.

I do think you need a better system that doesn't involve this horrible RNG... yes some people get the lead quite fast, but not everyone is as lucky... are we the unlucky ones who have to suffer with repeating the same stupid quests over and over again just to get the lead? How many times does it take before getting it? I do fairly believe that if the players do the daily for the lead more than 20 times... they deserve the lead... they worked hard for it.

Support has no control over dev decisions.

Without saying it they're basically saying don't submit a ticket if an item won't drop, as it is out of their control and unfair to grant drops- leave a suggestion somewhere to increase drop rates.

It doesn't hurt to ask if you are bugged from it dropping for you though (i.e. it shows you have the lead on their end, but not on your end), they would have to investigate the matter or better direct you.

can you delete them? I've never tried. I get repeats for the wild hunt and others i don't need and just wait them out. Never thought to just toss them lol

Pretty sure they've meant excavate others first if you have some already. Some think it might block the progress on getting different ones.

You can't delete/remove leads from your list. Only way to remove a lead is excavate it.

I will not be purchasing any future dlcs/expansions if I must fight RNG tooth n nail over getting a particular lead that I need. I don't mind working for it, but this is a tad bit excessive and broken. It does need to be addressed and fixed by the developers.

Deadlands was released on November 1, 2021 and I'm still unable to get the lead from the deadlands dailies... that's a BIG problem right there.

Support is there to help and they have to be fair. If someone from support was like "Oh I see you did enough dailies and attempted to get this lead 100 times, which is highly irregular, so I'll just award it to your account" then they'd get fired since it's not their policy to give drops out for free.

The scenario to contact them should have been if you got the lead but it didn't show up in your list of lead drops.

We're going to have to agree to disagree... the information that ZOS put on their support page is incorrect. Simple as that. you can't buy golden leads from the marketplace so that is not a solution for what I'm going through right now.

I understand your frustration, but not the way you chose to express it. You could simply have made a topic asking if people would like to see a system implemented where you get a guaranteed drop after x amount of fails (IMHO twenty is too low, that's nothing in grinding but that's a debate for another thread) instead of coming in hot and putting people off.

Some people get drops straight away, some people after a hundred. That's RNG. That's not an "unknown reason". It's not a "slap in the face" - don't take it personally, it's not personal any more than if you got the lead on the first try.

Have you tried asking if anyone in zone wants to share the daily quest? You might find someone else who is farming the drop and you can get several done in one day.

It took me 97 Leyawiin dailies on one of my accounts (PC NA main account) to get the lead for the boat. I wasn't happy about it, no - but I also knew it was pretty normal (though RNG is usually kinder to me). On the other account PC NA, it dropped on the 7th daily.

Being easily distracted, I haven't run those dailies yet on my PC EU accounts. I'm sure it'll wind up being about the same when I do get going on it. I just refuse to let RNG frustrate me. Real life's hard enough to deal with, much less letting a game get to me.

Yeah that one sucks. I logged in 6 toons each day for half a week to do a daily on each toon to get that one.

I just get belharz band lead from this coffer. So your chance to get Markin ring is devided half. I'm with you.
But its better to keep this one, because if you excavate it, you will get again a chance that wrong lead will drop.

It's super low. But my tip is, if you get the other gold lead from coffer don't excavate it so you can't get that one again and only the markyn. That's how I ended up getting it.

It took a month of dailies to do it, and thats with multiple characters. The drop rate is very sucky.

RNG is a cruel god and is best not upset. What makes these leads more frustrating is the fact that it is a single run per day, unlike delves, dungeons, world bosses, etc., which can be run over and over daily on the same character.

One way around this is to run it on multiple characters each day - all 18 of mine are more than capable of doing this (even though 2 or 3 runs at a time would be my limit). Another is to have a friend also pick up and share it with you or shout out in chat asking for shares (as others mention).

If you have multiple characters, but only have 1 capable of completing the quest, with a friend, you can pick it up on several characters (one at a time obviously), share it with your friend and then come back to your main and have them share it back again.

Maybe locking leads behind once daily missions is the problem rather than RNG.

Any change to guarantee a drop after xx many attempts would have to be pretty high or vary depending on the task. I killed dozens of Deadrats in my hunt for their lead, I've killed dozens of Lesser Sea Adders hunting for their lead. Giving it to me after 20 or 30 would have me receiving the lead in very quick time.
