I did an enchanting and an alchemy turned them in and they did not count for the endeavor.
Only got credit for the quest.
Had not done any of the others.

Was is a regular, daily writ, or an actual master writ. Because it worked for me when I did a master writ this morning.

    Worked for me a well.

I think you are confusing daily crafting writs with master writs. Master writs are the items you can get when completing max level crafting writs. Master writs have to be turned in in Grahtwood, right next to the daily crafting writ turn-in there. Master writs also give writ vouchers.

Did you mouse over the endeavour to see which it required? ... it said potions, and food. So enchanting, and poisons probably don't count.

In the past I've had master writs not count towards the endeavours, and it turned out "consumable crafting writs" does not include every consumable master writ for some odd reason.

The tool tip on the endeavor says what kind of writ you have to do. Maybe it has to be a provisioning quest. Not sure not logged in.

I did provisioning, and it counted.

Maybe "consumable" literally means that you can consume it: eat or drink. So food, drink or potion.

Maybe "consumable" literally means that you can consume it: eat or drink. So food, drink or potion.

This is exactly it. Some players assume that since the glyph is "consumed" when enchanting gear that it's a consumable, but it isn't. It has to be consumed by the player.

Aren’t normal enchanting writs from the consumable board? That’s why I’ve thought they’re consumables. I keep looking in consumables for them in my inventory but they’re not even in that section haha. Another case of ZOS mixed messages.

Exactly this. I'm not surprised when players are confused, given that one part of the game refers to them as consumables.

That's a very good point and something they should look into. I think Enchanting writs are appropriate on the Consumable board because they are consumed when applying them, but the wording of the endeavor needs to be more clear.

When mousing over the endeavor it should specify Provisioning and Alchemy.

I did it with a poison writ just fine, got credit for both a quest and master writ in one shot.

I wonder if the bound writs from the event are bugged and don't give credit?

I just watched the video of me turning in the writ.
My character is Daggerfall and I turned it in at Eldon Root . This should not make a difference as to where you get endeavor credit or not.

It doesn't make a difference. If you have the video, did you happen to capture you opening the writ and accepting the quest?

I don't think that's what made a difference as I've done that a lot. This is why I wondered if you had video of the writ in your bag, not just turn in. There was some bound writs released with the High Isle Event that I suspect are bugged for the dailies. If the writ in your bag was the bound one, it may have been the issue.

“Complete a Potion or Provisioning Master Writ” would be much clearer than “Complete a Consumable Master Writ but we’re not using consumable in the same way as we do with daily writs and you’ll only know that if you get the tooltip to pop up.”

(I’d suggest they at least count Poison ones so they can say Alchemy instead - there is no sense at all in discriminating between alchemy writs. Alternatively, just stick with “consumable” but use it the same way as on the writ boards.)

This is the same way that “kill 4 people” means “kill 4 people but by ‘people’ we mean only innocent citizens because apparently no one else counts as a person in this game - including enemy NPCs and other players.”

There is more than enough space to say what they mean. It is frustrating that they so often don’t - or use misleading language and choose to bury any corrections or clarifications in tooltips.

I didn't do anything during the High Isle event as I don't own that content.
I probably acquired that writ during the anniversary event. I don't have plus on my PS4 account and thus don't do daily writs very often.

Provisioning and Potions seem to be the only things that count, as they are the only things you consume.

Poisons you only apply to weapons, you don't physically consume them (which is a technicality I don't much like. IMHO anything you get from the consumable quest board should count.) well I suppose you could consume them.. Once.

Poisons from Master Alchemy writs do count. I've done that several times when this Endeavor comes around, and you can see the second post above yours confirming this as well.

Alchemy (potions and/or poisons) and Provisioning are the only two Master Writ types that count. I agree that ZOS's wording is confusing as Enchanter writs fall under "Consumables" on the job boards. The tool-tip on the Endeavor does say what counts.

@phileunderx2 it seems that based on your video you need to submit a support ticket as that should have counted.

Edit - after seeing the video.

No it should not. But it did for me on Xbox.

My Daggerfall character turned in an alchemy writ in Mournhold which I did not get credit for. Thinking maybe I'd stuffed it up somehow, I did another alchemy writ. This time I noticed there was a *hint* under the quest to turn in at Wayrest so I did and got credit.

However I didn't notice the hints when I did an alchemy writ on PC. I got credit when I turned it in Mournhold, but was on an Ebonheart character so don't know if there is a bug with Xbox or the writs in general.

Just to clarify, both alchemy writs were potions.

I would just do a provisioning one and call it a day. Who knows what spaghetti coding is crossing over with all these individual master writs, making them into equipment writs when they clearly are consumable. A provisioning one is less complicated.

I do all my master writs on one particular character. The quest log tells me to turn them in at Elden Root but I always go to Mournhold just because I find it more convenient, and it's never been a problem.
