Companions and Endeavors

Today's endeavors have two kill tasks, kill 10 insects and kill 20 with your class abilities.
When I'm having Isobel with me and she gets the kill blow, I get one point for killing an insect but no points for the class kill.
If I store Isobel and kill another insect all by my self, I get one point in both endeavors.
Why do the Kill X endeavors always have to count on the killing blow?
Why is there a difference between who gets the kill blow on the kill the insects and the class abilities?

This is not the first time companions are stealing kills and it's a bit annoying, you try to have them with you so they can level up but they make it harder to finish the endeavors.
Especially when we get Kill 250 foes with class abilities.

It makes sense though. Hitting an enemy with a class ability isn't killing the enemy with that ability. The enemy was killed by a different ability. But the enemy dying, in an of itself, counts as a kill for you if you damaged it.

and now it's the same problem again!!..

    Endeavor: Kill 5 humanoids
I have killed several humanoids with Isobel out but still only 2 confirmed kills in the endeavors.
Isobel had gotten the killing blow on the others.

    It is a bug.

The wording is pretty clear, it's far from a bug. You never landed killing blow on two of them, because choose to have a companion beside you, even knowing how those endeavours are working.

Why would an endeavor only count with the killing blow?
The whole Idea of having a companion is to work as a team for a common goal.
To help each others and to achieve things you could not do alone*..

*This is the basic thought but might not be implemented in a good way..

Since people do not seem to understand why I call this a bug I have to explain it a bit better.. might even need to draw a picture..........................

Why should I compete with my companion over who gets the killing blow regarding the count of an endeavor when both dungeon group of 4 players and a trial of 12 players gets credit for killing bosses simply by damaging them and not the killing blow?

Think of the rage players would have if only the killing blow in a trial counted!
All that work for nothing, 11 players gets the finger.. more or less.

So why on earth do I have to compete with my COMPANION on who gets the killing blow while doing endeavors?

If you still not getting why I see this a problem... well...

its still not a bug despite your further description. You may not like that the endeavor is getting the killing blow, but its not an unintended effect as such. Dungeon bosses don't have the requirement for the killing blow, this endeavor does.

That’s inconsistent, then. A “kill X enemy” endeavor (not the class/weapon ones) should either always require the killing blow or never require it. Gina’s post from last year shows the devs do not mean to require killing blows for the “kill X”:

I can see no rational reason to require killing blows on humanoids but not on delve bosses for otherwise the same endeavor. They should be consistent with each other.

And the tooltip should be crystal clear which the developers want. “Kill” shouldn’t mean one thing for one endeavor and another for another.
