Stamina - Warden or Templar?

Hi,

For someone who like to play with swords/bow and have healing capabilities, what would you recommend between Templar vs Warden?

I know a lot of stuffs changed this year and I didn't keep up with all the changes.

Thank you

Warden is still quite low on the DPS charts. Furthermore with each update there seem to be major changes to skills/passives. I would not go with Warden now. I advice you to wait untill ZOS knows what to do with this class.
And so the Elder Scrolls foretold. You will be shy, and I will be bold.

I guess that you don't want to hear "nightblade" as answer. Then look at your two classes.
    It depends on your goal.

Stam-plar has higher DPS potencial now, but it is poor on stamina morphs in class kit.
Stam-den is at low point now, but it has more stamina morphs in class kit.

Templar if you want to play end game content.
Warden if you want more "toys" for your play.
    PvP - Recruit.
    PvE - Dragon food
RPG - A guy who thought, that he can defeat daedric prince, yet guards still chase him off when he accidentally touches some object during daily writs.

Templar is a much easier DPS rotation and has access to great self-heals, however the heals from Jabs is gone. If you want something that can be a DD and a healer, Templar is the way to go. I'd probably go with Dark Elf or Khajiit because you will be flipping the character from stamina to magicka for those roles via the armory

@Elendir2am is spot-on about Wardens. Although you can run a Warden in end game content, but as a tank or healer. They're not ideal as PVE DD's, to put it kindly.

I'll also vote Templar. Stamplar got some fun new toys in hybridization (blazing spear, beam, strong heals), and is in a much better state overall than warden dps. Jabs doesn't deal as much damage as it once did, but it weaves much smoother.

I prefer Stamplar vs Stamden but both are fun and both can easily kick butt endgame. Stamden has fallen off with me due to some changes and the theme honestly. Are you a frost mage, a beast master, a druid? Why only morrowind animals but you use ice. Just feels off. Warden is also easier to use due to have alot of self healing for cheap.

Stamplar hits harder and has a much more coherent theme. It's more simple generally speaking. Also, just a little tip. You do not have to use jabs as a spammable, you can use carve, dizzying, flurry, or something else. Don't fall into the jabs spam pit.

The stamina version of jabs never healed you, only the magic version. The magic version still does heal as well albeit less. Don't say its gone because you're just lying to OP.

Slap on pale order and then you get a healing jabs for stamplars

Also both can do endgame just fine as tank, healer or DPS. Does warden have a slightly easier time healing or tanking? yes. And does templar have a easier time dpsing vs tanking/healing? Yes. But they both can still clear any content.

I agree the warden theme should be remade. I don’t care about mixing frost and forest, but if they could remove all Morrowind stuffs and go more generic like flowers instead of mushroom, etc.

I wish I could use a mix of class like 2 skills from Templar and one skill from Warden. Mixing forest healing and the power of the sun for damage.

My bad. But thank you for donning the hall monitor sash and being totally over the top about it. "Lying to OP." LOL. Yep, that's what I was doing. Lying in the forum because I have some vendetta against the OP and or wardens.

Thank you again for setting me straight. I'll never lie about templars again

It don't look to me that you understand why OP started this thread.
When somebody ask for class recommendation, then they are asking what class perform best.
Answer - you can do anything with anything, isn't answer for such question.

Oh don't get so mad. It was not a attack at you. Sorry if that got you riled up. And it was not over the top, I just stated a fact. I did not say you were a bad person or anything. You can lie and not be a bad person, it happens.

They never stated they wanted Meta or not. I also gave them a comparison in my opinion but followed it up by stating either class works fine. Some people get so caught up in meta chasing they can't enjoy the game with all thr class swapping. I know because I've been there.

I do have times where I wish we could mix and match class lines. That would allow for some very fun but probably very busted combos haha.

I’m sure if done right they could remove classes and make skills line more accessible to everyone. But it should be separated into attack/defense/Healing type of lines and you choose which class line you want for each.

That's what I was thinking too. You can't stack damage skill lines but need to have one of each.

    Warden or Templar?

Warden is my least favorite. Takes too long to kill stuff. Plus I didn't get a bear from the get go. I wanted to roll with a bear.

Templar kills much faster and doesn't need a bear.

Stamina warden is in quite a rough spot at the moment, and it won't change by much next patch since the changes are mainly focused on magicka wardens.

I'd suggest templar, but it's good to play more than one class in case it gets gutted by balancing changes.
