I miss the times where I would be excited for an update, it's been rough these past 2 years and my excitement turned into dread and trepidation for what they'll do to the game. I used to love the combat in this game, used to love playing my necromancer but now everything feels pointless, meaningless boring, an afterthought to the devs more worried about the always turning cash machine of the crownstore. This is likely either getting deleted of heavily censored and that's fine, I just wanted to vent a bit, I used to have ESO on my home and travel computer now it's only my home one, I wonder how long until it's in none of them.
One thing I miss is the scavenger hunt with each new expansion. The last one we had was in Greymoor, and that one was poorly done. (Still haven't found them all.) I hoped Blackwood was a fluke, but there's none in High Isle either. I guess it's been replaced with randomly stumbling across leads.

The one in march did something that never got fixed. It hit performance so badly I had to leave. I realize an update can just make the game unplayable for me and there is nothing I can do so it's affected how invested I'm ever willing to be now.
I only bought high isle because it was 60% off at gmg and gave firesong for free. If it wasn't for that I'd only just log in once a month to see if the stuttering and fps drops, that started in march, had ever been fixed.

How did you get a couple month old content so drastically reduced and unreleased new content for free?

Though I appreciate and enjoy most of the qol features introduced in the fairly recent past updates (companions, stickerbook, outfit system, writ improvements. . .), ESO has trained me to indeed dread combat changes. It is frustrating to work hard achieving a solid character only to realize you have built upon a base of shifting sands. It is demoralizing to work hard, get smarter about the game, yet watch your dps degrade with each update.

How do you not know? 😲
Game updates could be more creative and less formulaic but I have to admit I do not miss the particular time period when taking a wayshrine was slower than running trough zone because 9min loadscreens.

The fact is, you've probably just started to stress about the combat changes instead of just rolling with it and enjoying the game. You probably didn't have your nose stuck in the combat changes every single month worrying about it and reading people complain on the forums everyday. Its a choice to get upset about it.
