A lot of people left in Update 35. While some of the exodus was loud and vocal, I think the majority just quietly logged out one day and havent come back.

I saw in the stream "we welcomed another 2 million!" or something like that. I dont know what numbers Zos is seeing.... because all I see, everywhere, is less people. How many people have cleared HM end game in the last patch, compared to the "normal" years before? Less than a third. How active are quest places? How long are dungeon queues.

It is no surprise to me at all that the trickle down effect of people leaving means less sales.

Yes, I’ve noticed less sales across my five trading guilds since Update 35, and I always keep my slots full. And certain high value items I monitor on TTC have grown in the number of pages that are available, but not selling.

Lower sales, combined with declining guild rosters and little to no weekend queues for Cyrodiil leaves no doubt in my mind that there are a lot less active players since the drastic combat changes were first announced.

I'm not sure it is less players as it is a demographic change. It seems harder to find a group to run trials with but I see more players in the delves and doing overland stuff.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

Visual cues are unreliable due to the server sharding instances. One instance may appear packed with players, but there may only be five instances of the zone at once instead of ten at the same time last year or last month.

That can be true - but none of us know IF it's true. Only ZOS knows, and they aren't saying.

Too many changes. Since no proc I just stopped doing anything gear wise. I have the gold, just not the will. Since U 35 I just don't care anymore.

Sales wax and wane from time to time. And yes across 3 guilds sales are down. Population appears to be lower. But that is just my perspective. I have seen this cycle before here. People will return, ESO is hard to replace long-term.

Sales were somewhat flat in the past month or so, but with this event I've noticed I'm actually selling a bit more again.

More or less shards wouldn't change what I am seeing and experiencing in the shards I happen to occupy. That being it is harder to find groups for trials and vet dungeons and overland delves have more players in them than in the past.

I am also seeing a shift in activity in guilds. One in particular is attracting a lot of new players.
