How do you make jewelry?

stonewall095
So how do we make Jewelry in game I have found a quest that gives me one but how do I craft them?

Actually we cannot craft jewelry at this point and time, only enchant and make enchantments. Paul Sage did so they are hoping to add it at some point later. In my opinion it would make sense for it to be added with the addition to the thieves guild.

Given most of the enchants are for Jewelery does anyone have any idea what the drop rate is like at low level? So far 4 of questing together up to Lvl6 haven't had a single drop, however I have crafted mountains of Enchants.

It'll be good when it's in game.
Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

I just wish we could use enchanting to deconstruct jewelry.

Most of the jewelry I got at early levels was doing quests-several of the major lines award a ring or such. Including the guild lines, iirc.

This, my main character got a simple ring (not enchanted) at level 13 or so....

mDKs still need a lot of love!

Haven't see much drops of jewelry in loot, but the Mages guild have a vendor that sells jewelry (level 11+ IIRC) that you can then at least (re)enchant with the enchantment of your choice.

This is good to know, thanks @Usstan‌! The only jewelry I've seen were quest rewards and you cannot re-enchant them with something different.

Basically there arnt any legendary trinks until the craft is out. Which is fine for now since the game just released.

There's a ring rewarded from the Prophet quest line.

I have a plain white enchantable ring, level 12. Don't know why at some point I wouldn't find a similar level 50 drop which could be enchanted with a legendary enchantment. Granted, the base item itself can't be "improved" the way you can improve weapons and armor...

It's a bit pointless crafting jewellery enchantments if there isn't going to be any jewellery later on.

Question: why do the Developers not just place some Jewelry items into Loot chests. Me thinks that to say that we are able to craft these at a later time is just not good enough.
And since I am at it.... In my opinion, fishing is THE most redundant skill in the game. Just saying....

Update ( As I progressed a few more levels yesterday and found some new caves)

It looks like mobs from around level 10+ at times drop "pre-crafted" rings that can be enchanted. In addition these rings have as far as I can remember, bonuses to health/magicka/stamina. So yes, there are enchantable rings out there.

I am level 8, have been doing every quest I can find and have a sum total of 1 ring in my inventory. This ring was a quest reward, I have seen no drops at all.

Let us first recount what seem to be the facts:

    1) Jewellery glyphs make up 18 out of the 34 possibilities (about 52%) for glyph creation at any tier of enchanting crafting. (3 Armour, 13 Weapon)

    2) The Trifling tier covers levels 1-10 and the Inferior tier covers levels 5-15.

    3) The experiences recounted in this thread seems to suggest that jewellery items only really show up past level 10.

This leads me immediately to the question: Do the devs really not see an issue with a craft which allows you to make use of less than half of your possible crafting options for all of one tier and half of the next?

I agree with @Usstan the jewelry and rare loot I've gotten has always been from quests. Crafting Jewelry doesn't seem to be available at the moment, (It might be, but we just haven't found it yet). The vendor is a tip off to know that it is.

That's because you're too low. Around 15 I wind up with a dozen rings from clearing out a town of baddies for a quest, for instance.

Not saying you shouldn't be able to craft em... I'd like that too... but I think the people complaining that there are no drops just need to level up a bit :)

Nope, jewellery got pulled. Mats were way overpriced. You could make a small fortune really easily.

That's kind of the point though, isn't it? Why would anyone bother crafting level 1-10 or 5-15 Jewellery enchantments when you don't get drops until level 15? It doesn't make logical sense.

Better to create only Weapon and Armour enchantments until level 15 and then hope like heck that you get some drops. Or, as solutions:

    1) Let us craft jewellery items at levels where we can craft jewellery enchantments.
    2) Withdraw jewellery enchantments from levels 1-10 and offset the lost enhancement opportunities against increased effects on the weapon and armour ones.
    3) Institute a auction/market/gifting system where players of lower levels could be supplied with these items by higher level players.

But you can deconstruct jewelry glyphs for enchantment xp so it is not totally wasted.

the sense of crafting jewelry enchantments is simply to get more proficent in enchanting, afterwards brake them down again and do over, the white jewelry is allways inferior to found or quest reward green or blue jewelry, am at veteran 1 and haven t got better then blue yet

see jewelry enchantments purely as training, its totaly useless, infact allmost every enchantment is useless 15+ as you find very good items, its propably usefull once you got a veteran 10 character who does not replace every bit of armor every 5 levels and finds blue or at least green armor all the time.

making blue or even green items before veteran levels is a waste of upgrading mats

use mats too improve skill makeing 30 steel dagers and deconstruction is more then enough for 2 lvls blacksmithing at begining for example

only usefull profesions lvl 15-veteran are provisioning and alchemy
