Best monster helm for templar tank

I recently made a Templar tank. High Elf too. I have starting gear on him for bow, Purple Torugs Fortified Brass. At fully buffed I have 36k health, 21k mag and stam, 42k resistances and don't have a issue staying alive. But what should I run for monster. I always have reliable bloodspawn or magma incarnate but I recently got arch druid deyvric due to major vulnerability. But I'm not sure which is best. Out of all possible monster helms for templar tank what do yall recommend? Thanks!

Is this for PVE? There's an armor cap at 33k, so no reason to build to 42k with Fortified Brass. For monster helm, yes Druid is good. Tremorscale, Nazaray, Spaulder, Encratis are all good options as well.

In PvE there is a hard cap of 33.2k resistances (50%) so the entire set benefit of Fortified Brass is having no effect at all on you.

As for Deyvric, that's a strong choice - many tanks already have a 5 piece set to offer that, Turning Tide (from Dreadsail Reef) because Major Vuln is a good way of getting the 2 DD to do more damage.

So 33 was the cap!! I couldn't remember if it was 33k or 38k. Alright good to know again. And this is PvE majority. For pvp I run balorghs or bloodspawn or no monster at all.

I plan to grind for turning tide then try to get Nazarays to further increase the length of all debuffs which I'm pretty sure is meta.

Is this mainly 4 man dungeons or trials? I have a good amount of experience on a Templar Tank in both situations but your gear changes. Tank is not really a set and forget class.

I've been tanking for years on my DK and Warden doing Vet Hardmodes but never really done templar. Mainly 4 man's. I've never done a trial

Turning Tide and Crimson with Nazaray is great. Crimson is easy to proc and Dread Cellar is fairly easy to farm on normal.

Ok so my go too for 4 man content is pearlescent ward and crimson. Most 4 man dungeons won’t have a dd in Alkosh and is likely under pen so I find this is the biggest force multiplier for damage. You can swap pearlescent for SPC or PA if your healer is not running them but I really like the damage reduction the set provides too save wipes.

I prefer a 1 mythic and one Piece monster helm for dungeons. You can certainly go the monster set route. I have two loadouts. One for trash and base game and easier dlcs and one for tougher bosses, harder dlcs and when running without a healer.

    Trash setup

    Pearlescent/crimson charge back bar frost
    Vateshran sword and board
    One wild hunt, swift
    One magma incarnate.
Jewelry infused Tri stat cost reduction.
    Atro Mundus
    Tri stay glyphs on everything.

    1. Pierce armor
    2. Shield slam for Vateshraan
    3. Radiant ward
    4. Leash
    5. Repent
    6. Barrier

    1. Frost pulsar
    2. Blockade of frost
    3. Rune focus
    4. Eclipse
    5. Inner fire
    6. Warhorn

Self sufficient/boss set up is the same gear as above but infused crusher instead of charged on the frost.
    Masters sword and board
Deathdealers instead of wild hunt. Infused Tri cost

    1. Pierce
    2. Radiant shield
    3. Repent
    4. Leash
    5. The cost reduction absorb missile morph
    6. Barrier

    1. Extended ritual
    2. Rune focus
    3. Eclipse
    4. Innerfire/frost clench
    5. Blockade of frost
    6. Warhorn

(Some of the morph names might be incorrect but just use a makes sense approach too deciphering it)

Not much changes between the two you are just tankier with more healing on the latter with bigger resource pools.

If you are struggling with sustain swap in engine guardian for the mythic and magma. You can do any and all content with this setup.

    Templar tank is really good.

I like running Turning Tide, Leeching Plate, 1 piece Training, and Bloodlords embrace.

Its a little selfish to run leeching, cause you could run another buff set, but I pug vet docs sometimes and dont want to rely on a random healer.

I chose bloodlords for the near infinite mag resource. But if this mythic is not for you, I recommend Nazaray to buff Tide.

I have my Templar tank geared up as a heavily armored healer and I'm carrying all group buff sets on him. I rotate between helmets based on need, but for most cases, I run Magma Incarnate. If I need more heals to survive, I'll switch to Earthgore.
