Friends list, voice channels not working

I'm on Series X. I had a odd issue where I got a notification that dozens and dozens of players were unblocked by me. Many of these names I dont recall ever seeing.

After that happened my friends shows no friends online even ones I'm in xbox party chat with. They can see me though in the in game friends list.
On top of that the in game voice channels are unavailable.

Anyone able to shed some light on why my friends list and voice channels broke out of the blue?

Ya I already tried that, also did the one where we remove each other from our friends lists and then add them again.

Also friends list and voice channels were just fine until the mass unblocking that happened. It was so many names that the in game text screen was full. As I stated I didnt know these names.
